Delaney has his Bomber season preview http://www.theithacajournal.com/article/20090823/SPORTS03/908230362/1128/Sports/Confident+Grastorf+ready++eager+to+direct+Ithaca+College+offense up.

Interesting facts:

-Bombers have 8 QBs in camp: Grastorf, a junior returner, two 1AA transfers (a lot of Ithaca football people were already talking about the kid from Delaware), and four freshmen.

-The O-Line needs to replace four starters but is still going to be gigantic.

-We have a new RB that transferred in from Fisher.  Who knows anything about Luke Herrington?

Herrington was in the mix last year a decent amount after Biehl went down with injury.  He isn't particularly fast or over powering, he is just a solid all around back.  I was disappointed when I first found out he was leaving, and doubly so upon finding out he chose Ithaca.

Interesting Booby.  Would he have been in the mix for some PT this year?

IC usually likes to mix its backs but it is still an interesting choice to transfer to a place with an established starter like Bergerstock.

Great article on Grastorff. Being a fellow Niskyuna Grad dlippiel is really hoping Grastorff wins the job outright and has a great year. Accept when he plays Union of course. ;)

John McGraw

Ithaca's baseball team also has a St. John Fisher transfer, catcher Michael Armstrong.

Yeah they aren't that bad either.  Their record has been 150-87-1 since 2004.

I'm just messing around Booby.  Trying to get geared up for the season...

Fisher has been at camp for some time now----any rumblings?
Any news?

Biehl has a hamstring injury, Baily looks ok, no backup at qb, some transfers will start on off. Def will be fine, off still looking for identity.

fisheralum91

Im tired of waiting.

just looked at SJF schedule for the first time with any thought....wow, even optimistically we are looking at 7-2 (with losses at home to MUC and on the road at IC or Salisbury).  Of course if they lose to both IC and Salisbury, 6 wins aint going to do it.

Do they even make NCAA's with only 7 wins....maybe as long as they aren't blow-out losses to MUC and IC.

Going to be interesting.  This year might be a line in the sand for years to come from a recruiting standpoint.  Having MUC week 1 and then only 8 more games to recover is tough.  Better strap em on in a hurry after the MUC game or pull off the miracle on Sept 5th!!!

No chance they make it with out winning the AQ...

They scrimmage Mo-Ville at 1 this saterday at Growney.  I'll be there checking them out.  Apparently they have a couple nice skilled freshman that came in...

5'5", 145lb Freshman Brandon Short from East HS is apparently making a big (pun intended) impact.  He could be Julio Fuentes 2.0...

5'11", 200lb Freshman Christian Zemaitis from Spencerport HS is looking really good and pushing for the starting job as well...

Are they still running that brutal offense they were running last year? Man I hope not. I think Baily has the arm to win games as a drop back passer. The running game should gear up and move behind that O line. Hopefully Biehl can get healthy, cause he makes them a much more dangerous team.

Man I want to see them back at the top of the region this year, but with that offense I just don't see how it is possible. Too many turnovers, and WAY too predictable.
GO FISHER!!!
