Any Bomber fans know anything about Bergerstock's injury?

inthecrease

I saw on the Mount Union game notes that the SFJC-MUC game will be shown on Sportstime Ohio and other local cable channels in northeast ohio. anyone know if the game will be shown on Time Warner Sports in Rochester?

It doesn't look like it. Time Warner is showing the Rochester Red Wings game against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees live at 7pm and that is preceded by a replay of their game from the night before. You may possibly get a tape delay broadcast of the game sometime during the week if you're lucky. They're showing Colgate vs. Monmouth in the Syracuse market.

*EDIT* The schedule does show a live broadcast of the game against Buffalo State on the 12th at 7pm.

B,
Is this a legit question or were you just drunk posting?  If it's legit I hope that Bergerstock is okay and is back in action quickly, but this post just seemed too remeniscent of when KazooTwo would come back from the bar and we'd log onto OregonLive's message boards and post how the star basketball player from his private high school was transferring the rival school.  Days of entertaining responses would ensue.

Pep heard yesterday that bleacher supports for the grandstand had been repaired. Returning from dinner break, Pep stopped down to "inspect" and found that each of the separated welds appeared to have been secured by no less than six bolts. Pending a favorable engineer's inspection (probably this morning), AU should be cleared to host its home games on Merrill Field....even in time for its Homecoming tilt with St. Lawrence. Given the situation, perhaps Pep should have used a different word than "tilt."   ;)

I just checked and Bergerstock is fine.

In other news, Alfred has a new nickname as unveiled in Kickoff last week:

"Jared Manzer caught 10 touchdown passes for the Scots in 2008."

I don't mind, Pep, seeing how my surname is derived from Gillean the Battle Axe of Lochbuie.  I just want a little forewarning if we're changing our name so I can order a kilt adorned with my clan's hunting tartan on it.

What time is everyone getting to growney to begin tailgating on the 5th?

91, I got a postcard style invite for alumni in the mail for a tailgating party on the terrace, under the tent in the endzone, I assume.  It is $10 per ticket for food and drinks from 12-3 i think.

Did any other alum get this, or am I just 'special'  ;)

Was thinkin of just doing that and then I dont have to worry about the renta cops in the parking lots.

Don't think I was comparing Steenberg to Grastorf as much as I'm hoping Matthews might come on the way Felicetti did.  He's certainly interesting... attending Purdue and then Delaware before making his way to IC.

I believe he was 2nd team All-State QB at the Class A level in 2007.  It's been a while since we've had a QB with that sort of pedigree.

From scout.com on Matthews:

STRENGTHS
Accuracy / Consistency
Running Ability / Mobility
Touch

AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
Field Vision

"The first thing that really stands out about Mathews is the touch he has on all his passes. He really feathers the ball into his receiver quite nicely. He has above average arm strength and can thread the needle when he needs to. Whether he is throwing a touch pass or zipping the ball to someone he is very accurate. Another outstanding aspect of his game is his abilities outside the pocket. He can escape pressure and throw on the run."

This was from a write up when he transferred to some Florida Prep school second semester of his Junior year.  He ended up moving back to NY for his senior year though... I guess it's a bit concerning that he can't stick in one place, but on paper he sure looks interesting.

there was an event that I attended under the tent that served alcohol, but i dont think it was athletic related.  Now that you mention it, i dont think alcohol has ever been served at games....so.....back to the lot I guess incognito ;)
