The thing is, as bad as that play was, I understand what he was doing. By running it out, he was hoping to get the clock below the two-minute warning on the kickoff to force the Pats to either use all three timeouts on D or, more likely, save one but run the clock down to about one minute. The end result was bad, but I'm not entirely sure the initial decision was. As Ithaca so aptly demonstrated this weekend, running out the clock isn't always a sure thing. If he takes a knee, the Pats essentially get an extra timeout to work with.

I don't mind that he ran the ball out, but he has no blockers.  Keep two hands on the ball and go down.

They played well, however I'm sick of looking at "moral victories" with this team after 4 years of the same garbage.

4 years?  That is an understatement.

Exactly what Pep said while watching the "unBILLievable" finish on the Herrick Library flatscreen.

In that situation, #1 priority is to HOLD ON TO THE ROCK with everything you got.

Maybe I 'll run down some Utica Club and 'suffer' some of that at Courage Bowl Fest in the park and ride in your Honor...

Pep was just taking a glance at the E8 standings. The more he looks at what has happened in the first two weeks, the more he sees the E8 being up for grabs.

You've got Utica averaging 60+ points per game albeit against weak teams, Springfield close behind averaging 56...then there's the enigma, Hartwick--not sure what to expect of the Hawks but they are 2-0. Then there's Fisher winning as big over Buff State as they lost to the D3A Mt. Union...and the favorites, the Bombers, who after bombing against a tough Union squad, will only improve with each game. Alfred, Pep would think, is certainly right there in the hunt.

Pep doesn't think any of the teams will go unbeaten in conference play. Is it possible three teams go 3-2 and three teams go 2-3?

dlip concurrs, pep it is anyones conference for sure. dlip figures the bombers will definitely improve and feels this weekend's loss may be the driving force behind them kicking ass for the remainder of the season. dlip just does not see Wick doing anything though compared to the others. He is really feeling like the pride (he knows he keeps saying it) is back. Alfred and SJF are very good (sorry skunks, regarding SJF, dlip means very good in region, not in terms of competing with MUC on that elite scale ::)) and we will know about Utica after this weekend. The E8 is going to be very interesting for sure.

Dlip I just have to say with no sarcasm at all that I enjoy you posting on our board so much, I like having an LL poster as a regular....Much like PG over the years despite Brockport never being in the E8.  Keep it up, and once we can snag in an NEFC regular our lives will be complete.

I think you are both on the money. There are probably 4 teams that have a real shot at winning the conference this year (IC, Fisher, AU, Springfield) and two teams that look like they may be able to steal some games and make life tough on those 4 (Hartwick and Utica). I think IC will be tough to beat obviously, but I would not be suprised at all of any of the 4 I mentioned win the league. I think the winner will only have one loss, but
GO FISHER!!!
