dlip concurrs with the page, this is a great weekend here in the E8. When looking at picks regarding the match-ups dlip is going with Alfred in a game that may be closer than most think, and Ithaca. dlip feels Grastorf finally gets some help on the ground this weekend and Ithaca is able to spread the wealth on O and get in sink the way many of us felt they would from the get go. This is a huge game for the bombers because dlip feels this is not a confident team. By no means does dlip feel SJF is a top notch team in 09 but feels they are still talented and dangerous with the potential to make a run through the E8 portion of their schedule. As dlip previously stated he is pulling for the bombers here big time and is hoping they use this week to put themselves in the position to keep moving forward. In the case of Alfred dlip feels that Wick proved their validity last week in the cage and comes into Saturday with a lot of confidence:

Alfred 28
Wick 24

Ithaca 21
SJF 10

Can;t go 21-10 on IC-SJF...Bombers' pass coverage is too soft...28-24 Cardinals on a late TD pass over the middle

Pep is also wondering, on the East Region Fan Poll thread, why no one has inquired who did NOT have Alfred at #1, since the Saxons were No. 1 on every ballot but one.

Who the f$@&  didnt have 'Fred number 1 this week?  You should be made to sleep on the cold hard turf at Merrill until you competently explain yourself... ;D

Bigger game this weekend: Fisher at Ithaca  or  Hartwick at Alfred ???

Depends how you look at it....Huge for Wick cuz they already have a conference L.  This is a play-off game for them.

But beacause they already have that loss..they are so much less likely to win the conference.

Because IC-SJF are both unscathed in conference...they both have more to gain from this game....making it the bigger game.

It definitely depends how you look at it.  If you consider the cumulative weight of the listed rosters of players with uniform numbers on each school's website then Fred-Wick is bigger coming in at 41,448 vs. 35,635 for Ith-Fish.  However, if you consider the average weight of those players the roles are reversed with Ith-Fish edging Fred-Wick 215.97 to 215.88.  No matter how you break it down, there should be two great games in E6 conference play this Saterday!

Projected trivia question:  5 OUT OF 6 equals...

                      A.) .833333
                      B.) 10 OVER 12
                      C.) Fisher's record against IC since 2004
                      D.) All of the above

"Caller what is your answer?"

"D"

"Ding ding ding....you got it johnny....2 free tickets to Cortaca, and we will even throw in the Consolation ECAC game day program for IC-Utica"

Ahhh, c'mon....not any sh#$ talkin all darn week....I tried so hard.  :o

My prediction for the game:  "Pain"  It'll be a "pain" in the ass drivin all the way back to Rochester ala 2005 (last time I went) pondering a heart-breakin loss.

Wow, 82, it took you nine whole minutes to re-consider your smack talk. I think that'll correlate pretty well to elapsed time into Saterday's game that Fisher fans start heading for the exits....
