And, it's looking like Timothy "TJ" Kilcarr gets his first start at QB for Alfred today, following a solid effort last week at Fisher in relief of Tom Secky.

Pep is looking for the AU defense to rise to the task...it should be a great game at Merrill Field today. Exterminate those Yellowjackets!!

On Saxon Warriors!! and......Hey Pride!

pep, that doesn't bode so good..... what's secky's prognosis?

Pep is no doctor but saw him yesterday at Merrill for practice but he, obviously, wasn't practicing. No telling, really. They had his knee wrapped in saran wrap...locking in freshness! Only time will tell but the good news is that he's no longer on crutches.

Congratulations to Pep and the Band for leading the Saxons on to an impressive victory !!

Ithaca 4-1
Springfield 4-1
Fisher 3-2
Alfred 2-3
Utica 1-4
Hartwick 1-4

Not sure if that's possible with the numbers, but that's my guess. I think Utica tipped their hand against RPI; no one will look past them. Springfield has hit their stride when a lot of teams (maybe all of them) are still finding their feet. Hartwick will get Boltus-ed.

Looks like I need a a fork and knife for this big plate of crow....

Pep,

What do you think?  Roland O'Brien special team player of the week again?  Would like to have seen his play.

Thanks. I saw that score with time left on the in-game updates board and then nothing more.

He has become a real contributor....no doubt about that, just seems to be in the right place these past two weeks. On the punt return for TD, the punt actually took a weird bounce. The kick was pretty high and bounded pretty high but back toward the original line of scrimmage. Most of the UR punt coverage team was past it...O'Brien just caught it and only had a couple guys to beat.

IC Guys,

So, "Clay", the "Rock" is from Dolgeville?  Another athlete to go to IC from there.  Saxon 73 grew up there untill about the age of 8.  IC had a very good QB from there a couple decades ago I would say.

Also Dolgeville (the Blue Devils) is the home of Adirondack - Rawlings baseball bats. Northern White Ash and Maple wood.

With a name like Clay he should be in the AU Ceramic Engineering program.

My former professor DR Pye was from D'Ville coincidentally and is a world renowned Glass Scientist.  I got to study glass particles in the moon dust from the first lunar landing.  If he transfers we can call him cloud of "Dusty."

Alfred seems to be hittin their stride. Rochester is nothing to brag about beating but they have been a tough out this year over some traditional east powers. To score 51 without secky is good sign heading into their final game.

Huge matchup next week with SJF vs Springfield and Alfred vs Ithaca. Alfred win would basically wrap up the E8 and a Springfield win would really help out the resume for a at large bid. Alfred's win over Springfield is looking better each week now. Springfield really brought it today.
