Sjf cards..keep an eye on Fisher camp......a transfer will be there that will make you pleasantly surprised

I heard a rumor about a certain ex-player's brother coming to camp, who was an absolute stud in high school. I think Fisher is going to be a pretty good team this year. The team to beat? Of course I think that, but the league is tough from top to bottom, so who knows.

I'll go out on a limb and say it for you -- Fisher is the team to beat in the E8 this season.

dlip will second that  ;)

whew...you guys really go out on a limb far dont cha.... ;D

One could read this in a couple of ways, each with very different results. Either Fisher is the elite program in the E8 this season and has a target on them, or, Fisher is the team that everyone can beat this season.

Pep is just tickled that the season starts in 25 days! But Pep is headed uptown to see whether Merrill Field looks any different than yesterday.

I can't go out on a limb for anybody, because I think they're all so closely bunched. I could see any of those three winning it. I could see any of those three finishing third. And I think that's pretty cool. Even though the overall bar is lower, at least the regular season has some big games. It's more fun than it was when IC or Fisher was just clearly the best team and we all kind of knew it. It's great that a muffed punt/goal line stand/second half-meltdown could decide the thing.

Here's another thing: May all our teams have good health this year. The Secky/Zemantis/Scalice injuries really hurt the teams last year, and I'd like to see everyone with at least all the key players in place

Pep was just up town to get the mail and was slowed by a convoy of trucks loaded with steel girders, aluminum bleachers and etal. The 35 concrete pillars that will serve as the foundation have been completed for some time. A new bridge has been constructed and installed over the mighty Kanakadea Creek, and it appears that Field Turf has been installed from the north end zone to about the 25 yard line.

Meanwhile, the McLane Parking Lot is overflowing with vehicles as more than 200 football players arrive on campus to begin pre-season camp.

Gentlemen (and Grove), football season is upon us! +K to all posters!

i have a not so funny feeling that this is the year that SJF stubs its toe on the UR.  UR has battled us to the end for about 5 straight years, and eventually you gotta figure they will break thru.  This year's game is downtown at the futbol stadium.  Every season since 2003, SJF has lost one of those close games that they had to have expected to win (ex: Hartwick, et al.)  Maybe this year, we beat IC, AU and 'Wick (all 3 for once) but lose to UR.

If Fisher doesn't pull their starters last years game wouldn't have been close...

It was 35-13 in the 4th qtr and the back ups proceeded to turn the ball over 4 times...

Fisher handed them the game on a silver platter and they still couldn't win...

That is exactly my point.  Every year, Fisher seems to blow it once in a game they have no business losing.   A National Contender doesnt blow a 4th quarter lead like that just because its back-ups are in.

It was just a thought anyway....I dont really think or expect they will lose that game....just wouldnt suprise me though.
