Cards- thank you for the insight on the scrimmage!
I checked the web page and no numbers were listed for newcomers- but i would assume that indeed that 13 was Ryan Kramer.
He was a HUGE get for Fisher.
All state QB - with the ability to play numerous positions. His feet are the most impressive!
One question- without sounding biased- was Fisher that good - ore was Mooville that bad?

I have been going back and forth with that question since I left the stadium. Morrisville did not look that great. There is no doubt about that. I think what I was impressed with for Fisher, was not that Fisher was able to beat them, but how they were able to do whatever they wanted. Morrisville did not move the ball at all against the Fisher D. Most passes were rushed (several were bated down) and I don't think the RB was able to get past the line of scrimmage with any consistency. The offense just moved in big chunks, and looked good doing it.

I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. I think Fisher is going to be very good, but probably looked a little better than they are yesterday because they were playing Morrisville. The full half of football looked like what you would expect from a 9-1 or 10-0 team playing a 1-9 or 0-10 team.

Hopefully that answers the question. I hate to take the middle ground, but I just can't decide one way or another.
GO FISHER!!!

One other note 91. I don't think the #13 was Kramer if I had to guess. Kramer was #21 in high school, and there was a #21 on the field for Fisher yesterday, returning punts. I was standing up in the shaded area of the stadium and someone with a hat that said "Kramer" on the back was talking about #21 returning punts, and seemed very interested in him. Until then I had assumed the #13 was Kramer, but I am not sure.

One other thing. #21 got lit up on one punt return, his helmet popped off, and he looked a lot like Rob Kramer. All circumstantial evidence, but I don't think #13 was Kramer.

trust me - you cant miss the family resemblance....
sounds like it indeed was him.
I wish him very very well this year.
What a great guy with a great family.

That said- cant wait to see Doc Kramer back in the saddle!

Wasn't Zemaitis #13 last year?

Wow...Kramer is a big get for Fisher.  Anyone know the back story on what happened at Colgate...and how Fisher plans to use him this year (assuming not as a QB)?

colgate--really dont care he is a Cardinal now!
He can be used in many many ways...
Returning kicks/punts- WR-HB
you name it!

Upstate - I thought Zemaitis was #13 last year as well, but on the webpage he is listed as #20, and without sounding racist, the player I saw was a different skin tone than Zemaitis.

I just had a thought-How great would it be if Kramer could return kickoffs and punts to set up a short field -- a la when Steve Stepnick did a couple of years ago!!!

Or attempt to pick up punts on the 2?

Or lose at home in the first round of the NCAAs to a lower seeded team?

Nice.
Last years special teams as stated earlier were any but.
Muffed punts, missed PATs, makeable fgs (30yds and under) gaffed, and bad snaps made up for a hold your breath keystone cop type of play.
Here is hoping that is a thing of the past!

sjfcards

It was pretty ugly at times last year.

A bit of a stretch in a discussion of special teams gaffes, no?  Now if we were talking about weak secondaries or injuries to key players...
