bomber, this really isn't the right board for that kind of stuff. a lot of us have built up a pretty nice rapport with the fisher guys. and who gives a s*** where anyone went to college anyway, no one ends up working in their major :P.
Don't lecture me, I didn't start it...

82 will ease the tension, that is what I am known for 'round these parts... ;)

Yes Bombers3 you did start it....you single-handedly turned an obvious quip about relative academic strength a few pages back into a 'real' debate...yet nobody is debating you...not one person....zero, nobody said anything about Fisher being a good academic school...it isnt....it sucks....they should just close the doors forever....but if they do....I hope they leave the SCOREBOARD lit 34-10 forever.

"Hey Buddy, You just blow in from stupid town?"

Guess so- I went to Fisher!

I think my SAT score somehow just dropped by reading this argument.   :P

That is hilarious...+k!

I agree with the rest of the group. Can we talk about anything else?

Wonder what Delong's SAT scores were? Must be impressive to perfect that ****ing triple option and run the football all over the G-damn place week in and week out. Who has the ball, I don't know does he, does he, pretty smart... :D

Eh, except for that superhuman effort by Sharp that one year Fisher hasn't had a lot of trouble shutting it down (Fisher shut it down in the playoffs that same year) ....

dlip was at that playoff game in Springfield. it was at that point dlip had a feeling that SJF was going to be able to give MUC a game. Sharp was just plain nasty and they did an excellent job of containing him during that game.

I do have a question off the SAT topic....Why the weird 5p start time for the Fisher- Wick game?
Seems like an odd time...
And I dont want to hear any rants about a trap game....This one was over before it began!

sjfcards

Fisher has been pretty good against the option in recent years, but I think they have benefited against SC's option a bunch in the last two years by playing Salisbury. Overall I think Fisher is great against the option offense when they see it a second time in a season. Last year they gave up 38 to Salisbury, and then 7 to SC. I am sure the players across from Fisher last year had something to do with the drop in score, but back in 06 they gave up 55 to SC, and in the second meeting they gave up 20.

Having Stepnick, Piz and Kramer being out during the first SC game had a lot to do with the first outcome...

Fair enough. Those guys might make a difference.

Thanks Upstate.
The schedule should ease up when they finish the track and field project....

So my wife and I were talking about football last night and she asked me who the best coach in the Empire 8 is. I thought that would be a perfect question for the board. My honest answer is I don't really know, but I guess if I was starting a program today I would take Faggiano (?). He is largely untested, but the turnarounds at Fisher and Utica are impressive.

I'm sorry, I stopped reading after that. You and your wife talk about E8 football? Impressive. +K for you and the mrs.

I mean, I think there are coaches who have strengths in various areas. Faggiano is a great recruiter. Vosburg's always got a game plan ready, etc. I've heard Welch is very good at the day-to-day operations (if not the x's and o's) of the program. I guess if I had to pick one, I'd pick Vosburg. Blaise needs to prove he can be a consistent winner on this level
