Well,

And I forgot to remember (can you do that?) that yesterday's victory over....guarantees 7 winning seasons in a row.  Great job Coach Murray, the staff and all 7 years of players.  Congratulations.  Thanks for all the good times!!

Pep appreciates Coach Murray and his staff in what they've contributed to the University Community. It's more than football. His outstanding recruiting and mentoring has had a tremendous impact on many young men. Pep was never so proud as yesterday's halftime seeing Jared Manzer on the field helping with pee-wee flag footballers. Murray and his staff mold young men into outstanding citizens--even characters like Manzer!

On Saxon Warriors!

I've said numerous times, Coach Murray is the closest thing to a high school coach on the college level that I've ever seen.  He seems to know his players like he's been working with them since they were in kindergarten.  He is concerned with them as people, not just as football players.  My wife and I can't thank him enough for the help he gave to both of our sons.  Congratulations AU and finish strong!

Chris was a character...Pep will never forget #6 injuring himself on a TD end zone celebration!! He was a regular in the library, too!

Top 25 is out. Pep is a bit surprised that Alfred hopped back in at #20, while Fisher fell to #23. Didn't really expect AU would see the Top 25 again even with the win over Fisher.

Not one vote for the entire Liberty League since week 2 (Hobart 4). That's gotta hurt.

I think what makes it harder is that it's to AU.  Believe me, I've felt your pain.  I've lost in the past to Thiel, Washington and Lee, Ursinus, RPI and Hobart... And without a doubt, the hardest losses that take the most out of you are IC and SJF.  Its such an emotional game that it really takes a toll on everyone involved.

Figured Tad, Kaz and Pep might get a kick out of this...

I've been talking with Pecoraro while he's down in Arizona for the Border Patrol.  He's stationed in Tuscon.  Guess he went out for a drink one night and ran into AU alum's Chris Fee (who played at St. Lawrence then GA'd at AU) and Chris Sarge.  Guess they are both teaching down there and coaching a high school or middle school football team...  Crazy small world but now AU has a strong Southwestern presence...

Agreed...plus everytime Alfred beats us it seems to ruin something potentially big for Fisher (3 times keeping us out of the NCAA tournament and then this time potentially keeping us from an undefeated and glorious season.  Now we have to worry about beating Springfield to even get in as well)

Now that the sting has worn off, I still can't believe the fly reverse pass by Thon...

That was the play of the game, it totally changed the momentum and deflated SJFs hopes...

It sent SJF a message that no matter what they did, AU had an answer and was two steps ahead of them

It was great timing on the play call and and excellent execution...

So what do you think the deal is with it? Obviously its not a single reason, but, from the Fisher faithful, is there an idea as to why AU has been so successful against SJF?

I lean toward superior coaching... But that's just my take.  I know it falls a lot on execution during the game but a lot of execution is proper preparation...
