What also kills recruiting for IC is their attitude, it's almost as they don't care if you come or not they'll do fine with out you type of vibe...

That's all well and good when you're a regional/national power and talent is knocking down your door to get in but when you have teams catching up and passing you in your own conference you need to switch it up...

Did that happen to you? Or have you heard it from Fisher guys? I hadn't heard that, but it fits

Out of HS it did...

Then coming out of JUCO I sought out the place that seemed like they wanted me to be apart of the team. That was Fisher, where I came in my Jr year and started right away in 2002...

I've heard other stories like that from IC, most notably with Robinson who basically got the cold shoulder from IC...

Oh yeah... sjfcards said something about those being the "lesser o-line days," right?  ;)

But as Bomber said, that attitude wouldn't surprise me. Would like to hear some other opinions though..... where's bomber3 when you need him...

Ha, yeah something along those lines was said...

I will say the Cardinals were 3-1 in the games I started and finished before I blew out my knee in the 5th game vs Hartwick in 2002...

It's not Wick's fault directly, I was running down field on a toss and slowed up near the pile after Meyers was tackled.  Little did I know that one of my teammates (who was the first lineman off the bench at almost all 5 spots) who was filling in for a guy at RT was crazed for more playing time.  He kept driving his guy past the whistle and "accidentally" knocked the guy into the side of my knee blowing out the ACL and MCL.

If not for my hinged knee brace I was already wearing I was told I should have dislocated my knee.  Who's to fault is still undecided to this day.  It could have been the crazed teammate, the RT that was subbed for, the crappy Hartwick player that got plowed over or myself for actually hustling down field.

He says it was an accident, I say he just wanted to see the field at any cost.

fisheralum91

Did it take place at Hartwick?
Ill blame the field then

Crazily enough, losing out on Robinson doesn't really bug me. I know he was better than the guys IC had, but Donovan and Baez weren't slouches. Donovan being fully healthy would have helped a lot, but it's tough to predict those things. I do believe however, that he would have been even better than he was had he stayed healthy.

Would I have preferred Robinson? Yeah, looking back. But the Bombers wound up pretty good at RB. Be nice if we had some of your lineman or a DB like Stepnick though

I blame Meyers. Robinson never stood for things like being "tackled". He'd have scored on that, then ripped a phone book in half  ;)

Realized this morning that Alfred doesn't play in the game which affects them the most this saterday.  Perhaps, the band should take a trip up to South Hill and lend our support to the Moose (though I've never left Butter Field happy, so perhaps not).  But in light of this revelation, I'm changing my handle until next week and singing a new song:

On Utica Pioneers,
On to Victoray.
Orange and Blue declare,
The Moose's royaltay. (Rah, rah, rah)
On Utica Pioneers,
O'er every adversitay.
Fight! Fight for Utica,
U-T-I-C-A!!!

fight song? that's priceless.
