In a somewhat serious note, I really feel sorry for Frostburg...

I'd be surprised and pretty upset actually if SJF doesn't lay 50 on them...

Only took six days for Fisher posters to get entitled again....

I'm sure even if Frostburg manages to score, the Fisher SID will call it "questionable" anyway!

now if anything deserves a plus k thing... that does.

Not going to be able to watch or attend tomorrow's game against UC but hopefully the Bombers take care of business and keep their playoff hopes alive.  UC will be pumped for this game and I stated earlier the Bombers' secondary will be tested early and often, which is troublesome.  As stated previously, their run defense is their strong suit but I think they will have just enough to squeak by 27-24.  Go Bombers! (and go Bobcats?)  :o

Hi to all on the E8 board.....I am a fan of Salisbury University and try to make a home and away game each year...so I am looking to make plans to see one of the inaugural conference games when SU joins the E8 next year. I don't think the schedule is out, but am trying to make some plans to travel to see some family in upstate NY (Syracuse area)and want to combine with seeing a game. My question is where do you folks feel is the best venue within a few hours drive of that area. I am glad we are finally going to be in a solid conference with a AQ and a chance to compete each year for that opportunity. It would have been nice to be a little closer to home (Annapolis Maryland), but upstate NY is beautiful country too. Thanks!

Utica and Ithaca are pretty much equidistant to Syracuse....about 60 miles. Rochester (St. John Fisher) is a bit farther (88 miles), about the same as Oneonta (Hartwick). But your best bet is to travel to Alfred (134 miles, 2.5 hours from Syracuse), which offers a a great venue for a game as the visitor side bleachers are built into a hill, offering the same view as the top of the home grandstand, and within the best earshot of the AU Pep Band!  ;)

Pep was talking this week with a fellow lifetime Alfred football fanatic (His father probably has missed about the same number of games as Pep's pops in the past 70 years). He likes to watch the games from the visitor's side and was in the corner where Thon was credited with catching a TD pass. He said he thought Thon was out of bounds as well.

Regardless of whether or not he was in, Max was just pointing out that it's unprofessional of the SID to say a TD was "questionable" on his twitter feed...

For anyone interested, kickoff for today's game at Merrill Field between the Saxons and Rochester Yellowjackets will be at 12:30 p.m. The time was changed to facilitate a soccer doubleheader. Apparently said change was not passed along to D3football.com Also, the game is being webcast:

If UR still had their RB I wouldn't have said that...

However, he's out, so UR is a dead duck...
