I wonder if Charles is still around or had his head explode from the inclusion of Fisher and not Endicott ::)
Just not sure why the committee did what they did, obviously they didn't follow their own selection criteria. Makes no sense SJF gave up 56 to Hobart. I heard that Endicott requested games with either Cortland or Alfred and they both ducked. So they get to play Mt. Ida for their final home game. Hope it's a nice day at least.

Pep doesn't think so. Not sure why anyone would even suggest that Alfred, a team that defeated Cortland on their own turf, 34-20 last season, would "duck" from a bowl game with a team that was manhandled by the Red Dragons at the same site a week earlier.  ??? Say what??

Pep...come on now...I know you guys made the NCAA quaterfinals last year...but Endicott has the 6th best defense in the country!!!  If it looks like a duck...and sounds like a duck...then it's sarcasm...

Now this is just ducky. Guessing Pep should get his ducks in a row before spouting off. Reacting to Charles makes Pep a sitting duck. Pep should have just let it go....like water off a duck's back. Pep is just going to duck out now.

On Quackson Warriors!

Unbelievable. I love this board...

Pep is just thinking that maybe the NCAA Selection Committee reads Post Patterns and actually has a sense of humor. For what other reason can we attribute the selection of these first round match-ups:
a) Hobart at Wesley and
b) St. Johns Fisher at Johnny Hopkins

Quackson Warriors....on to Bridgewater!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

I confirmed that this is absolutely untrue.  Endicott was the #1 seed, and Mt. Ida was the #6 seed.  They were matched up accordingly.  Charles, enough with the lying.

Maybe he meant the regular season.

Context is not there.  He's focused on the postseason in that entire post.

Frank aren't you that little fellow wearing the dog tags outside a real tight sweater from the 80s? We all know that Don Bain and Tom Meier were chirpping in the committee's ear for days. The committe didn't follow thier own selection criteria, What is done is done. Endicott should have been in and they didn't have the money backing.

this may actually be correct, and D3.COM went on record prior to selections declaring that the NCAA would go with Endicott.....BUT, would Endicott have deserved an at large bid over SJF, or 3 or 4 other teams for that matter?  So criteria or not....did they pick the better at large team?

You havent claimed Endicott is better than Fisher....

Nor should he (assuming he is reasonable). I was at the Endicott/Cortland game last year in the playoffs. As I was watching the game I was thinking to myself that it is too bad teams like Endicott get in and really good teams from stronger conferences don't. I really don't want to knock on Endicott, but at no point during the game last year did I think Endicott would finish in the top 3 of the E8.

Obviously I was watching the game through the eyes of a Fisher fan who was still very upset his team was not in the playoffs, and this years Fisher and Endicott teams are not last years teams, but I am happy the NCAA went with what I consider the better team this year, instead of blindly going with overall record.

Again...until Endicott beats someone...anyone...from outside of the NEFC and the ECFC...they should not be taken seriously.

Could they?  Sure...but when you haven't in the entire history of your program, don't go spouting off about respect...

and that is the point...it isnt like the NCAA took away their AUTO bid....they lost to an inferior team in an inferior conference and could no longer hide behind the protection of the AQ.

Its funny that guys like Charles dont thank the NCAA for having the AQ so a team like Western NE can get in when they otherwise dont deserve it, but complain when the second place team with 1 loss gets ousted for a quality 2 loss team.

Preview of St. John Fisher at Johns Hopkins

http://d3east-football.blogspot.com/2011/11/can-fisher-upset-hopkins.html

For Fisher to have a chance, they need to get a big game out of Kramer running the football and keep the Blue Jays offense off the field. Further, they need to tighten up their defense in the red zone and force Johns Hopkins into field goal attempts. If they do these two things, they could pull a huge upset for eastern region and Cardinals football.

Can't argue with anything in this breakdown. I think Fisher has a chance this weekend. They need to score points, but I still like the defense, and I think they will come to play on SatERday. I don't know if they can keep Hopkins off the scoreboard, but if they can keep it manageable, and get some scores of their own, they will have a chance.

Don't disagree with any of that.  Hopkins QB is great, I mean he's completing nearly 70% of his passes? That's crazy.

Fisher needs to play mistake free to have a shot.
