How old are you guys?
Are you right out of undergrad?
Help an old guy out, because i honestly cant remember to your degree of memory, the day to day things that transpired back then.

To answer your question:

MIOH, MIYH, Tecmo and I are class of '03.

Some of these other guys are a year behind us I think.

QuoteMost of the jokes missed the mark but there were some funny moments.

Jose, you know what they say, humor is subjective.  I didn't have a writing staff like letterman nor were we paid to devote as much time as we would have liked, but I will try not to take your back handed compliment too personally.  As a matter of fact the show was pitched as a satire to the late night format, the monolouge in particular was suppose to be incredibly dry and poke fun at canned laughter you often see on the late night talk shows..

FisherAlumn, I was not a celebrity, college television is not exactly a true measure of one's ability, with that said I am trying to compete on a higher level now.

Tecmo, actually, if you ever sat in on writers meetings for the show you would have seen me protesting frequently as to the subject matter the crew wanted to air.  If LOT was considered offensive at times, you should have seen the stuff I used my VETO on.

Did she even find the male-ist protest funny? And let's be honest, the stern politically correct approach of the school was asking to be attacked, any true, good natured college student would  tell you that

She actually looked forward to the show every week.  Crank out those DVD's, and I'll have my Christmas shopping done for her.

Not intended to be a backhanded compliment in any way or a critique of the show.  Just my opinion.  Sorry if it got your guard up.  Really wasn't intended as a dig at all.

GB's15, I don't think that may have prompted a letter to the ithacan, though we did paint Jesus in a pretty positive light.  The only letter that really got us in hot water was when he had a guy on our crew write a letter saying how offended they were by the show (an attempt to gain more viewers, when people hear things are offensive, they usually tune in to see what all the fuss is about)  When the manager of ICTV found out we wrote it, we got quite a talking to and almost taken off the air, didn't make much sense to me, but she wasn't happy, even cried.

That meeting is available on audio cassette as we wired my co-producer with a mic under his shirt to pick up the humorous lashing we took behind closed doors.
