Incidentally, I will be on hand to watch Georgia crush the University of Buffalo tomorrow. Check your local listings.

28-0 Georgia by the end of the 1st quarter...

You'd better worry if it is NOT!

Eastern Michigan (generally ranked in the bottom 10-20 teams in FCS) beats U of Buffalo like a drum.  It's just about the only game we figure is a sure win.

To be fair, UB Did go to a bowl a few years ago. But they have fallen back off again. I worry about first games though. The team hasn't had a chance to play for real yet which sometimes lead to slow and lackadaisical starts. I don't doubt that the game will end in a crushing, though.

I would be disappointed if UB somehow scored more than 7.

I think UB's best defensive player is suspended for this week as well...

Not that he would change the outcome of the game or anything...
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

Well this entire exchange came out of left field.

I'm sure there are pockets of people across the country who have heard of Ithaca and it is definitely more widely known than Fisher but let's not make it out like they are nationally recognized by the majority of prospective college students in the nation.  I'm sure they have a fine alumni network established which attributes to these random run ins.  I'm willing to bet if people look up the town where Cornell is located and they find it's Ithaca most of them will think "where and what the hell is Ithaca?" as opposed to "Oh wow so Ithaca has Cornell and Ithaca College".

Butttttt none of this has anything to do with football really.  Ithaca will be back on their feet soon enough.  It's difficult to say if they'll ever return to national championship contending form, because well look at all the other programs that made Stagg Bowl games in the past to never reach that level again.  At least they made it there and won 3 championships.  If Fisher did that I would talk about it until my dying day.  They could easily return to the level Fisher is currently at.  Quickly.

All of that being said - I do so enjoy beating them every year    :D

Really looking forward to the game tomorrow!  It's always fun to see new teams.

Oh p.s.  that one poster from the LL who I think is a U of R supporter (Ethelred) is sooooooooo bitter towards Saint John Fisher.  You can just feel it in his posts.  Don't worry my man only one more ass kicking to endure and then the nightmare ends.

To be fair, he said he was in LA, and in LA there is a huge amount of IC alumni. The Park School (communications) at IC is second to none, and has a semeseter in LA program where a lot of students get a job from interning on whatever show/movie/etc. they get from the LAIC program.

My wife did that, and that was the reason we moved to LA after school. So LA is probably not the best test of how well IC is known around the country. IC is a really well known school, and has a large alumni base, but in LA it is whole other level.
GO FISHER!!!

Oh, ok. This is by far the busiest traffic weekend of the year in the Atlanta area..  Two college football games (downtown). Uga plays(in athens), NASCAR nationwide and sprint cup, and a bunch of festivals.

It is really bad when there are any events (i.e. the final 4 this coming year). But yeah the traffic is really bad in general and I avoid actually going to Atlanta unless a situation requires it.

Great article on what sounds like a great kid. Dlip has someone new to root for this season. Not just because of the diabetes but because of the growth in character, maturity, and heart of this student athlete. Best of luck to Zach and the Saxons.
