I'm glad that so many folks are pulling for my BENGALS to do better. Since the UWW victory we appear to have gained a ton of "brief" supporters, and Im glad that they are wishing the best for our BENGALS. Many of us 1300 Elmwood Ave had hoped the same. We are the most dissapointed that they have not met the expectations that many of us had before the season started, not AFTER the UWW win.

We are proud that they fought back yesterday to win in the final minute.  Nothing on these boards will change the elation that we, the BENGAL faithful, had for our boys yesterday. Whether it's over the #1 team in the nation (that no one thought we could do but us) or the last place team in E8 ( which most expected us to do..including us). We can't afford to minmize a victory because of the competition. In my book that disrespects all those young men that fight real hard for the school on Sat afternoon.

I can understand those on these boards that want to praise thier team when they do good, but I have still been unable to find any poster that considered another schools win to be "minmally better than a loss". Maybe it's just because it's the BENGALS. If that's the case then..it is what it is! Undoubtly there are some who really resented the publicity that Buff State got when we caused the nation to take a closer look at the Empire 8 Football conf. IMHO that was not a bad thing for all those involved (E8 schools and supporters). The fact a first year member caused a national "spike" in E8 attention should be appreciated by all! I think it speaks well about the entire conference, including the Hartwick's!!

I would never belittle a team on these boards for winning a game ( no matter who the competition)...never have and never will. I remember a poster, earlier this season, who was offended by what he thought I said that was derogatory about Brockport. I didn't feel I said anything derogatory about the Eagles but I apologized nonetheless.Thats the kind of sportsmanship we teach at Buffalo State College.

My first year in the E8 boards has taught me something. Goodluck to everyone next weekend...especially my BENGALS!!

Go BENGALS!!!!

I'm going to ask an honest question: What happened to the offenses  in this conference?

We're eight games into the season--seven for some and only two quarterbacks have double digit touchdown passes. Only two have a 2-to-1 TD/INT ratio. Only one has a completion percentage above 60%.

Another thing I've noticed: The lack of teams with a feature back. Not a single E8 RB is averaging 20 carries a game, and only Ardoin and Baldassare are even close.

In 2010, E8 offenses averaged 32.6 PPG. This year, that number has dropped to 25.5. (In both cases, there's 64 games to use.) That's a full touchdown drop across the board in just two years.
It's just strange to see the offenses struggle so much. Thoughts?

Well i can't speak for other offenses but Fisher's offense is borderline terrible this year. Outside of the Hartwick game the team is averaging 19 points a game. Add in the Hartwick game they're up to a whopping 22 points a game...

Im a little surprised that Fisher wins in a shut out and drops a spot. Does that mean that they beat Buff St. and then drop out of the top 25?
If Fisher wins out I really cant wait to see and hear all the opinions on who should go!

It's not because its your BENGALS, if you need a miracle fumble recovery and subsequent TD to beat Hartwick its nothing to write home about. I don't care if its Ithaca, Utica, Fisher or hell even Mt. Union...

St. John Fisher's vote totals the past three weeks: 66, 64, 63. Fairly consistent, just getting passed by teams. They kind of don't belong in the Top 25 anyway, as the discussion a week ago focused on.

Yeah that 21 point performance was dominant...

Wow..Et tu upstate?
Im not sold that Fisher is going to be a NCAA team, but 21-0 was a roll.
At no point was it a game.
Am I not reading sarcasm?

And to Pat, with the parity in he E8, why not Fisher in the top 25....Its your 4th best league and there seems to be quite a logjam going on!

I didn't think the outcome was in question however it was not a roll...

If Frostburg had any semblance of an offense (or not turning it over 4 times inside Fishers 20yd line) it would have come down to the wire, that's how bad the offense is this year...

Like I said earlier, outside of the 40 point game vs Hartwick the offense is averaging 19 points a game. Not close to being top 25 worthy...

While Im not overly sold on Fisher, under the E8 circumstances, I wont rule anybody out!

I'm not really sure what this rant was or why it was necessary. One comment and I seem to have set you off, which was definitely not my intention. I think generally most of us understood what I meant. ALL of us on here were very supportive and excited when the Bengals beat UWW. However that doesn't immune them from criticism on lackluster performances

Top 25 votes for Utica! A program first, I'm guessing.
Saturday's win sure makes the next two weeks interesting.
Too bad Salisbury doesn't have a reason to look past the Pioneers.
Uncharted waters for Blaise's program......

What team below them can you really favor in a H2H matchup?  They clearly are surviving week to week, but have 2 very solid OOC wins and with the way E8 is shaking out, all but Wick/Frostburg can beat the rest in the conference on any given week in one of the stongest conferences in land.  Plus, we have seen a 2 loss Fisher team do damage in the past....last year.

Huge difference from this year and last is that Fisher doesn't have two of the better WRs to come through the program to bail out the QB almost every game like they did last year...
