I'm wondering if the current state of Union and Ithaca's football programs has anything to do with these schools looking closer at financial packages for football players.

I've heard coaches at IC (not just football) grumble about financial aid issues. So I think it certainly plays a role, especially ad the cost of attendance at Ithaca skyrockets. But there are a litany of reasons Ithaca's football program has backslid in recent years

That is why I think it is even more important to recruit the New England prep school/ISL league as much as possible.  IC used to have about 5-10 kids on their roster from these schools.  I haven't seen many recently.

Yeah, I think IC's actually moving south in recruiting. The 2012 freshman roster seems to have more jersey/pa representation than usual

Yeah. I'm guessing win against a regionally ranked opponent is the big booster there.

LD11 -- good to point that out. I assume the NCAA is just keeping its ducks in a row until those teams decide who wins that pile. Notice how many two-loss teams they're already behind.

And the 2 loss teams they are ahead of might gain a little ground if they win games against better teams.  A 6-2 E8/LL/MAC/NJAC team might not beat a 7-1 nefc team this week, but an 8-2 might beat out a 9-1 team in week 11.

If things pan out just a bit off the beaten path ie UC upsets SU and Uof R shocks Hobart, this regional ranking is going to go up in flames!
The better odds would bet would be on UC winning.

I am actually pretty stunned with this whole Robinson conversation, especially coming from Fisher fans.  For me...I haven't seen a RB anywhere near his class since he graduated.  Stats are stats...but sometimes you just watch a player and you immediately think...dammit...we have to see this guy for how many more years?

I can only think of two other RB's that I would put in Robinson's class from the past 15-20 or so (using only "East" regions schools here)...Dan McGovern and Krishaun Gilmore...both from RPI...both playing in the late 90's.  Those two...like Robinson...were ridiculous...

From the time I have been watching D3 Football (2000 - present) I don't know that I have seen a more complete back than Robinson. He had speed, power, and you could give him the ball 30 times a game and he just seemed to get better as the game went on.

I haven't seen them all obviously, but he was about as good as any.
GO FISHER!!!

I was hoping it was a video feed problem but it wasn't, Buff State really did beat SJF.

Disappointing season following last year's run -- but not surprising giving the body of work for '12.  3 Improbable wins (W&J, TM & UR) inflated the look of the 6-2 record, and the QB that helped make the run in the NCAAs last year I don't believe has seen the field this year.

Utica will be a challenge their offense is good.

Fisher will hold the UC offense to 21 points...

However Fisher will only score 13...
