Off on a really wierd tangent....maybe its the cold medicine, but when wesleydad comes on (and congrats to you sir!) does anybody else think of the movie roadhouse and Dalton is on the lakeshore yelling "WESLEY!!!! WESLEY!!!"

Hee hee

Damn you FA91...I actually just watched part of Road House last night...then I open the forum this morning and read this.  Now everytime I read something from wesleyday I am going to hear Patrick Swayze's voice narrating the post...

Rest in peace Dalton...rest in peace...

Who only watches "part" of Road House? Did your cable go out? Did Boltus call you? I'm disappointed...

fisheralum91

I was face timing with Boltus on my new iPad and while flipping channels I happened to come across the movie right where Red was giving advice to Dalton about not marrying an ugly woman because it will take the energy right out of you.  Guy was a freaking genius...and of course to the absolute displeasure of my wife who complained something to the effect of "we have already seen this movie about 1,000 times" I watched every minute of the movie until the very end where all Tinker could muster was "a polar bear fell on me"...

That is why I only watched "part" of it...

I remain disappointed. You're telling me you don't have your DVR set up to automatically record and alert you to the presence of the greatest movie of all time?

Seriously, if Boltus and Felicetti had a baby, and that baby was a movie, and that movie could talk, the first words that movie would say upon learning to talk would be, "Damn, that Road House movie is so much more awesome than I am."

In my defense, I already have Road House recorded on my DVR...and it is a "house rule" that no matter what else we are watching, if said movie is discovered to be playing at any time, than said move will be watched over any other program to the very end of the movie.

And I agree...if Road House could be considered for best QB ever in the E8...than Road House would blow past Boltus and Felicetti to the top of the list.  You telling me Dalton couldn't throw for 13,000+ yards and 130+ TD's?  Please...this is Dalton we are talking about here...

Kelly Lynch once said that every time that movie is on, Bill Murray (or one of his brothers) would call up her husband and say "Patrick Swayze is having sex with your wife right now!" Totally classic

Nah, I hear ya. Well, to keep things at least semi-topical, on Monday, a buddy and I put together our All-Ithaca team from 2000-2012. I was going to share what we came up with, but figured I'd just do my all-Ithaca team (1988-2012), since he's not here. (And we couldn't agree on a RB, since he's got delusions about his pick)

OFFENSE

QB: Josh Felicetti
RB: Jeff Wittman
RB: Mike Scott (Could have gone Paul Parker here, but he was similar to Wittman in style/size, so I went the burner route)
TE: Brian Weverburgh
WR: Justin Esposito
WR: Nick Ismailoff
OL: The 2008 team's (I believe in keeping their sizes what they are, so as good as those old lines were, the size is an issue)

DEFENSE

DE: Matt Dibble
DT: Alex Shafiro
DT: Rich Smith
DE: Sean Skinner Bryan Steele (Got these two mixed up)
LB: Billy Mays, Jr.
LB: Daegan Gray
LB: Mike Sansone
CB: Seth Molisani
S: Ron Amato
S: Lee Byrne
CB: Justin Daly Anthony Melville (Same here)

KR: Scott
PR: Jeff Higgins
K: Andrew Rogowski
P: Brian Bicher

Penalty, on the offense, 12 men in the huddle. Five-yard penalty. Repeat second down.

Just kidding. That's a fierce team, especially the back 7 on defense

If Dalton were running it, it might even work on grass.

Too soon?
