Pep was standing in line with Pep Jr., waiting for a ride on Ravine Flyer 2 at Waldameer Park in Erie, PA and found himself listening to a tune that seemed like a "must" for AU Pep Band's repertoire. Pep was unfamiliar with the name of the song until asking Pep Jr. who informed him it was "The Final Countdown," definitely a "must" for the band. And with that, it seems like it's the final countdown until the 2013 season begins.....

Today is Wednesday, August 14 and in two days, there will be plenty of activity on Merrill Field as the 2013 Saxons open their preseason camp!!

On Saxon Warriors!

Correction: Pep was jumping the gun. Just heard that the Saxons report for camp on Sunday, August 18....Pep was wrong--imagine that?

Irregardless (hehe), Pep is pumped for some pigskin play!!
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Is there any news about a Fisher scrimmage this year? They have traditionally played Mo'ville, but played Alfred State last year. Any info is appreciated.

Fisher will scrimmage Erie Community College.    I wouldn't let the Community College title fool you as they have many DI hopefuls that didn't make the grades.  They have kids from up and down the east coast, should be interesting.

Thanks Cardinal Pride! Ay idea when, where, what time?

Fisher is scrimmaging this Sunday @ ECC.  Teams will be out on field around 11:45am and scrimmage it self should start around 12:30pm.

Also not sure if anyone else heard about the Defensive Coordinator job at Fisher yet.  The new hire from Utica is no longer working at SJFC and returning for one more year is Mike Fox who should be bringing his aggressive 3-3-5 stack defense back.

I guess that is a good thing...they have a good chance of competing for the E 8 championship this year.

Glad to have Fox back.
Just wish it was under much different circumstances.
Don't like to see a local guy goof up a real opportunity.

Thanks for the scrimmage info, was hoping it would be at Fisher.

A lot of the regular Fisher guys were talking about Fox coming back via private message. Will include you from now on w/ any info.

The 3-3-5 was going to be run regardless of who was the DC. Fox coming back gives me more confidence in them breaking in a new secondary though.

Took some extensive searching.

If anyone has facebook, these terds apparently like to call people out with pictures...

Not excusing the DWI by any means but the Facebook post is really piss poor. As dlip gets older he begins to realize that we all make mistakes. We do have to be held accountable for them but what is so perplexing to dlip is how people love to call out and crucify others as if they have never made a poor choice in their lives.

That FB post is ridiculous...

Instead of the calvinist Puritans and The Scarlet Letter, we have secular puritans and Facebook. This poor guy made a mistake and just lost everything. Now they want to drag him through the public square. The delight people take in others' misfortune is terrible.

While I don't support the people on Facebook I also have a real hard time referring to a guy caught driving massively drunk as "a poor guy" and "made a mistake." Driving drunk isn't a "mistake", it's a choice to be an a$$hole that has a possibility of a) injuring or killing yourself, which is bad, or b) injuring or killing others around you, which is much, much worse.

So, while piling on is bad, I have no sympathy for this clown either. Driving drunk is not some new problem, or something we aren't culturally aware of, or even something we don't know the statistics about, it's a miserably poor decision that is a pretty good indicator of someone with a character flaw.

Not quite sure how you can start feeling sorry for someone who is just that irresponsible or stupid and got caught. Especially someone who is, at least nominally, a role model for college kids, an area well-known to have its own problems with responsible alcohol consumption.

I gave you a +K, but i'm not sorry for anyone.  I just think these people actually blowing it up on facebook is retarded.  I can't wait for these a-holes to do something wrong.  I just hope someone blows them up just as bad.  That is all.
