Hope you fellas has a great Christmas!

I bought my father the 1988 Stagg Bowl DVD (Central vs. Ithaca) and we watched it. Fantastic experience. All the things that make it so 80's (mullets everywhere, no scoreboard on the screen) where great to watch. And, holy god, Ithaca's backfield might have been the greatest I've ever seen.

It's so weird because Mike Scott only had 298 regular-season carries as a Bomber, and Paul Parker probably less than that, since he only played one year. So it's really easy to see Scott buried on Ithaca's all-time lists and Parker almost nowhere to be found, and forget how good they were. But they were unreal. Ran for 300 yards in the game on just 37 carries, and Scott added an 84-yard kick return for a score.

And what's really cool is that they were in the backfield together. Heck, they're out there throwing blocks on the other guys' carries. That's just something you don't see anymore. This also led to a fantastic touchdown dance involving the two of them after one of Parker's scores. God, I miss the 80's

Sadly bombers,  I don't think anyone who posts on these boards knows who these great players are (including the few IC posters left).  I've only heard stories, but know that Paul Parker is one of the best running backs in the history of IC.

Parker's 1988 reminds me of Jamie Donovan's 2004. Both of them were transfers who didn't get a lot of reps early, but they took off later in the year. Donovan averaged 175 yards over his last 6 games of the season, and Parker ran for 493 in the four NCAA playoff games.

Okay, so Pep is in Florida for a few days and brought along some stuff of personal interest including an old AU Football Media Guide. Been doing some figuring and it appears that AU Football has an all-time record of: 493 wins, 369 losses and 45 ties. Pep is thinking that's an overall winning percentage of .568.

Pat: How does one apply ties in properly figuring a program's winning percentage? Pep's guess is that .5 wins is added to total wins for every tie. At least, that's what Pep did.

On Saxon Warriors!

Pep, that's correct.  Ties are .5 wins.  Up the numerator by .5 for every tie game, and the denominator by 1.0 for each.

That's good news for Fisher fans...

Now just have to get some weapons to throw to and protection in front of him...

So, I saw Wesley/Mount highlights on YouTube. My god, the Mount secondary looked awful. In fairness, one of the TDs got helped by an official—literally, he got in the way of a Mount DB—but on the two long TDs late, I mean, talk about breakdowns. Guys running clear at midfield with three minutes to go and an 18 point lead?

Also, there are some old Wick games up on YouTube. The IC games from 2005-2007 are there, and some Fisher ones too

Cortland joining E8 in 2014...

Not surprised, I thought they'd eventually join but I am pretty pumped to have them join...
