Im not sure who has seen this video on the D3Hoops cover page, but it sure puts everything in perspective for those who think that winning our games on Saturday are the most important things in life. It puts the word "dedication on a whole level!

Must see!

Regarding Ithaca, it's clear the team has taken a step back this season. That said, I'm not too impressed with the E8—outside of Fisher, who's looked dominant against everyone who doesn't run a triple option. I'm not 100% sure how Buff State is 5-1 right now, but then again, I wasn't sure how Ithaca was 8-1 at one point last year. This might just be the Bengals' year.

Still, the E8 is just strange this year. Hartwick barely moves the ball against IC and Fisher but lights up Salisbury? Frostbug looks like a non-entity on offense all year, but puts up 10 points in the 4th quarter against Ithaca and easily scores two TDs in overtime? Buffalo State needs a miracle to beat 2-4 Cortland, gets beat by a 3-3 Alfred, but controls their own destiny heading into the home stretch? Alfred may cough up 300 turnovers and finish .500?

No disrespect to Garcia, but Utica transfer QB Billy Pine (who's kinda strange :D) is the reason.

Hartwick put up 43, 40 and 34 points in their games outside of Fisher and Ithaca - with Garcia as the quarterback.

Salisbury has given up 32, 43, 32, 34, 19 and 49 this season.  The more likely reason is Salisbury's defense being the reason Hartwick moved the ball, not one single player.

Hartwick was doing something different offensively. Both Pine and Garcia were throwing the ball during the same drives, and Pine was also running the ball. So they had some weird hybrid system going on. And to their credit, Salisbury was better in the 2nd half.

That said, Salisbury allowed a dozen pass plays of 20+ yards against Hartwick. You can't put a pretty face on allowing 635 yards and 12-of-16 third downs to be converted.

Board is a bit quiet this week!
Here is hoping that IC and UC take care of biz---Fisher looks to have a scrimmage on its hands.

Damn, and I used to like this guy!!!   ;)

Alum is right though. These boards have been rather quiet (compared to previous weeks.)

Here's to hoping that my BENGALS continue their "streak" against a good Utica team. Defensively the Pioneers present a number of problem for BSC! Their #1 passing defense will cause my BENGALS "O" many problems. Pioneer receiver Acevedo will be the toughest receiver that our secondary will face to date! In the past, tough receiver's have been a problem for my BENGALS.

We seem to be hitting stride at the right time! I hoping for "4 in a row" :)

 ;D

Had to have some fun Bengals!

Heck - Id rather the situation be solved head to head anyway for the E8
That Fisher/Buff State game could be for all the marbles!

AUPepBand

So I take it that no one from Fisher is traveling to Mayberry this weekend to catch the slaughter?
Heck, Fisher fans don't even travel here when the Cardinals are playing at AU, which Pep doesn't understand.

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

I always enjoy Bengals openly discussing who he does and doesn't like.  Wish we had more people on the boards like him representing some of the other teams in the conference.  Yanks disappeared and took Hartwick representation with him.  Salisbury even had a guy pop every so often.  Frostburg State has never had someone come on these boards to my knowledge.

Anyways, hope you stick around Bengals!  I look forward to the game next week.  Will you be making the journey?

And Pep, Fisher is 2-3 in Alfred since I first attended back in 2004.  Watching Fisher win there = fun and happy times.  But it feels like the times in which Alfred does beat Fisher, it also happens to knock them out of the playoffs as well.  Therefore the losses that I witnessed are twice as awful to experience.  It's no fun to drive down to the Southern Tier and leave with that kind of taste in your mouth.  It gives me trepidation to want to drive down there again this season, if Fisher does their part up until that point...it will give Alfred the chance to play spoiler yet again.

fisheralum91

Boob- I totally agree,
Tho- I must say- Fisher travels REALLY WELL when they come to Utica.
The crowd was great and I met some great Fisher parents!
Its also an easy 2 hr drive down the thruway.

Thank booby! There will be a scrimmage at Buffalo State between our hoopsters and Houghton college at 11 that day so I'm gonna miss that drive. :(  According to the Fisher website, there will be video of the game. I can think of at least 3 Buffalo State basketball coaches who will be watching the game after the scrimmage. I'm sure that I will be joining them!

Good luck this weekend!! ;)

Having a hard time getting up for the game this weekend. I don't want to assume Alfred State has no chance, but it is hard to see them staying in the game. I'm free on Saturday, and that usually means a trip to wherever Fisher is playing. I just can't bring myself to drive 2 hours to watch Fisher win by 50.

I may go take in the IC SU game. A much closer game and that probably has a much bigger impact on Fisher's season.
GO FISHER!!!

Are you writing that Pine couldn't have done that against those teams?  He's just as good at passing and a much better scrambler.  Got no problems with Garcia though.   Maybe Hartwick will find a way to use them both?
