budcrew08:
You could be right about UC dousing both the wick and the wich. While AU completely shut down the UC offense (3 points off a Saxon turnover) in the first half, the Pioneers showed signs of life in the second half before Keeley tossed a couple of long TD passes. Meanwhile, Hartwick got in a hole early against AU, taking Lindy Crea out of the mix. Boltus to Sands was an effective combo. UC probably has stronger D.

As Kaz00 noticed, AUPepBand struggled compiling the possible scenarios for the top four; working in three more factors seemed like a mathematical nightmare for an already mathematically-challenged AUPepBand. Most posters wish to limit their E8 scenario to the "top three," thus the need for someone from AU to remind said posters that Alfred has a D3 football team with a one-TD loss at Springfield in '06 and the Saxons have won nine straight at the otherwise friendly confines of Merrill Field.

Fisher beats SC 35-21  Utica puts a scare into Ithaca but Ithaca monkey stomps them in the end
Alfred will lose to at least either SJF or IC but more than likely both  and I think IC beats SC in the end  so fisher 6-0 IC 5-1 SC 4-2 Alfred 3-3

Good thoughts Superman.  I'm gonna be a little more optimistic toward my Saxons and believe they can win one of the two big conference games that remain.  We snuck one out against SJF last year and held a lead against Ithaca entering the fourth quarter, so I'm interested to see how those games turn out at Merrill this year.  I'm gonna guess they turn out exactly opposite this time around with AU holding off IC (who is a little distracted with an undefeated Cortland on the horizon) and Fisher finishing off a perfect season in dominating fashion.  At least in this scenario the E8 would be decided on the last day of the season.  Kaz00 says SJF 6-0, IC 4-2, SC 4-2, and AU 4-2 with IC getting a pool C bid.

Perhaps AUPepBand spends too much time reading LLPP. Some of AU's long-time football foes are members of the LL after bolting from the former Independent Collegiate Athletic Conference (ICAC) that once included the likes of AU, IC, RPI, Union, SLU, Hobart, Clarkson, RIT.

i wish ya luck--you are still lurking!

Oh, and FA91, those charges were dropped.  But how was I supposed to know she was AUPB's daughter?  Everyone in this town has the same last name!

This was a post gem...+k Kaz00

I hate to say it but, there is a chance IC overlooks Alfred.  I am going to give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt though.  Generally, IC overlooks a team much earlier in the season (see: Lycoming in 2005).  IC rarely overlooks the team right before Cortaca because it is so obvious that would be a problem that everyone focuses on it...I think.  Hopefully we have already used up our yearly brain fart at Fisher.

fisheralum91

as with any coaching staff- you HOPE that you make sure that your team is focused week in and week out...
Hopefully Fisher can avoid any brain farts ...period...

One now would be devistating...

Kaz00: You should know by now AUPB is related to everyone in this one-traffic-light town. AUPB's relative, the judge, called just today with heads-up about four outstanding parking tickets that said judge's husband cop probably put on AUPB daughter's (or son's) vehicle registered in AUPB's name. Small-townitis...why AUPB travels with Saxons.
