you heard it here first, Springfield steals one from Fisher.... I got a feeling, gimmie some more cowbell!

And thank you to the NY Mets for picking up a must win last night, it was looking to be a "suicide watch" weekend after the mets lost fri/sat, my softball team dropped one to a terrible opponent, the bills look pathetic against the winless lions.....

Here's hoping it rains like crazy in st louis 2night

last rookie QB to start in Cortaca: Alex Smith and Cstate got crushed.............Also Fellecitti and JJ lost their openers........so 0 for last 3....... Ic's turn this year

This was actually a pretty astute observation CState.  I looked into it further and was told this:

Since the game became THE GAME in 1988, there have been three quarterbacks who won the first Cortaca Jug they started -- three straight Bombers from 1993 to 1995 (Ron Smith, Greg Murphy and Neal Weidman). It's worth noting, though, that Smith and Murphy were seniors at the time and Weidman was a junior.

I think you heard it here first, but it's not like people haven't been talking about it for weeks.

I'll say this about this game.  The frequency with which both teams run the ball + the new NCAA timing rules = about 8 possessions for each team.

fisheralum91

wow...
4 per half per team?

best make good use of them!

JQV

Though if this SC is anything like SC teams of the past (and there is no reason to think they aren't) all you need is one stop to beat them because you can score on every possession you get.

fisheralum91

lets hope that fisher can muster efficient drives

bomber27

That is one thing that they do well is having long sustaining drives exceot when Robbinson breaks a long one

Hey lineback- did you hear that Steve Lyon got fired from his broadcast gig

I really think that this week is the week that Robinson is going to have one of his signature games.  He hasnt had more than 24 carries or had over 150 yards in a game this year (is only averaging around 17 carries a game as well), it would be nice to see him have one of his 30 carry 220yd 3 td games this week.

This also might be one of the shortest games this year considering both teams are averaging over 250yds a game on the ground.....im putting the over under at 1 hour and 55 minutes for the length of the game....
