Was the E8 snipped out of Snap Judgements or am I missing it  ???  Two high offense games and the unexpected loss of the Top 25 killer Utica didn't get noticed.

Hartwick and Cortland combined for 1263 yards and the Alfred Saxons, knocking on the door of the Top 25 put 625 yds on Morrisville St as Casey Bright ran for 225 yards and Tyler Johnson was 17/18 in passing.

Quite an offensive outburst yesterday in Mooville as Casey Bright more than doubled the challenge Pep issued to him on Thursday in the library.

"I want 100 yards from you Saterday," Pep told Bright.

Bright finished with 221 yards on 21 carries.

Pep, somewhat conflicted by the fact that he's a Morrisville alum (Class of 1976) and Alfred honorary alum (2005), wore the purple and gold on the surface and the Mustangs' green underneath.  ;)

Thanks to Morrisville State's Dining Services for the free lunch in the STUAC at halftime!

I was wondering what people thought of the Freshman QB for Fisher yesterday? His stat line was really good (15 of 22, 3 touchdowns, 0 picks and 1 fumble) and most importantly he won.

I think he played as well as you could ask a freshman to play, asking him to make his first start with some key offensive pieces missing. I think the Fisher staff did a good job at simplifying the offense and cutting down the playbook to suit the first big time experience of the freshman QB. Did turn the ball over with a communication miscue with Smith but what can you expect from a young QB and a D end playing RB. Also Smith stepping in at RB for Fisher was big. Kid has a punishing running style and provided a big spark for them on O. Hope the Cardinals can keep it rolling
May or may not have played college ball...at a small liberal arts college...in Pittsford...but most definitely did

A lot of football to be played before it gets all sorted out. Pep has been pleased to date but as Pep often says to the band, "Stay tuned!"

Haha, if you don't see me post for a few weeks, that will be your clue. Two weeks to go! Can someone pick up the slack for me during Cortaca and carry the flag for the Bombers so Johnny's not all alone?

E8 Power Rankings
1. Alfred (5-0): Looked more impressive in their wins, although they've yet to be truly tested
2. Fisher (5-0): Survive and advance. When you're not a Stagg Bowl team (so like, 97% of the Division), that's the name of the game.
3. Utica (4-1): They allowed 20 points in the second half to an IC offense that had scored 30 in their previous six-and-a-half, But they still control their own destiny—well, provided the Bombers don't run the table (which they won't) Big rebound game this week
4. Cortland (3-2): I mean, let's see if they can do that against an actual defense, but that QB play is encouraging
5. Buff State (2-2): Lost to the two best teams in conference, beat the worst, Otterbein is probably not great
6. Ithaca (2-2): Proving that if they show any semblance of an offense, they're dangerous
7. Fake Team Boltus (2-2): Statement game this week
8. Team Boltus (1-3): Just a ghastly defense
9. Morrisville (0-4): What happened to these guys?

No worries bombers.  I can handle those inbred punks by myself during Cortaca week!

Good luck in the next few weeks!

"7. Fake Team Boltus (2-2): Statement game this week"

I think the 2008 ECAC game where Brockport beat Team Boltus 70-68 somehow imprinted the soul of Team Boltus into Brockport's football DNA. Boltus was like "You may have beaten us , but may my Curse of Potent Offense combined with zero defense forever be on your soul !"  And their football destinies were forever intertwined until the curse is broken somehow. Maybe the first one to beat Fisher.
