I have been checking the game notes for Fisher vs. Wick.

I hate games like this- stinks of trap!

Paper shows mismatch but head tells me otherwise.

I felt the same way two weeks ago.  Pep says I'm afraid of my shadow.

Kaz- maybe im overly cautious after getting my heart stomped in 07, that was team Boltus.
I know team boltus and this is NOT team boltus, and yet..........I dont like it!
Lets just get this one out of the way so we can have the E8 championship game next SatErday already!

Good luck against UC kaz.
We caught them at the worst time- Naton coming back from injury (probably too fast) timing off, starting 2 RBs down and our stud Linebacker goes down.
UC is a handfull.
They are advertising an "orange out"
Score on em early & often!

I was actually really impressed by Utica when Fisher played them. I thought they moved the ball well, and the pass defense was very good that day. I am hoping AU can take care of them and set up a huge game next week (assuming Fisher can beat Hartwick). AU has been one of the more consistent teams this year so I am sure they will be ready to go, but UC can trip good teams up (as Fisher found out).
GO FISHER!!!

Im not trying to downplay UC (too much) they are a good squad, I think that cards is a bit more smitten on them than I, but I think AU takes care of biz.
That said,
I make no bones about my hatred for ' Wick......I want Fisher to stomp on them hard.....and then get to what we have all been waiting for-
The E8 championship game!

Someone made the point about Hartwick looking for some payback for their coach after last years game. I think last year's game may help Fisher as well. I am sure Naton hasn't forgotten how that ended. I am sure in his mind the Hartwick player was trying to injure him (it looked that way to me too, but obviously I don't know). My guess is we will know early what kind of game this is going to be.
GO FISHER!!!

dlip hopes Fisher ****ing homogenizes Wick...dlip just can't stand that ****ing cage!

dlip- this alum couldnt agree with you more!
never-and I mean never- have i been in a worse place- between the facility being a farce- to the the student body, the parents- hell even the security guards being beyond rude...Ive hated that place for 25 years and rightfully so.

Naton- he has a right to HATE that squad and coaching staff.
There was complete intent to injure in the last game and I hope that he lights that team up for 70+
Total garbage.

On a lighter note----Go Union?

In case anybody forgot about last years BS and the way "wick handled themselves at the end of the game.

Coaches and players were suspended for their actions....Now they are calling for revenge?

For what exactly- your coaches and player stupidity?

god i hope the alma mater hangs 70 on them

Game of the Week   Alfred (8-0, 6-0) at Utica (6-2, 4-2). Another contender throws their hat into the ring as Alfred's tries to fend off another as "King of the Mountain".  This game features the 2 best defenses in the conf. . However Alfred's run heavy offense is superior to Utica's. Utica may keep it close..but I think Alfred is too good and a more balanced team; may be a low scoring affair.

Upstate Master Coaches Bowl... Jerry Boyes and Mike Welch are both longtime premier coaches around these parts.  Buff st is 5-3, 3-3. IC is 4-4, 3-3. Winner stays in the black conf wise heading into final week. You can make a case that Buff st is the second best team in the conf if you just look at stats. They are the only other team than Alfred that is ranked in top half of conf in total offense and defense. So..they are a more balanced team than Ithaca, whom is unbalanced. My "chi" says balance beats unbalanced, so Buff st to pull it out on the road. The huge fly in the ointment here is that this is Ithaca's ( and thus Welch's) last home game, and they may come out in a fury. Can that emotion carry them to victory ?

Bird Bowl. SJF is 7-1, 5-1. H is 2-6, 1-5. No bad team strikes more fear into the E8 than Team Boltus. SJF despite their record appears a bit unsteady and unpredictable. It doesn't help their stats for a 7-1 team are just average. Kinda like last year. Middle of the pack offensively and defensively. But they  seem to "just win, baby ". The essence of Team Boltus is that they can basically only do one thing well, pass the football (they are the texas tech/wash st of d3). they don't have the heart/will to commit to the run and they certainly can't ever play defense. So SJF should have no fear of this incarnation of Team Boltus...Billy Pine is no Boltus, even though he tries to play him on Saturdays.

ville/port. Clunker heading into the final week. Will Brockport (5-3, 4-2) suffer some sort of post AU letdown ? Can Mooville get one win ? I say no, because Brockport still has a very good offense that can run and throw well, and Mooville does not. OH Kurt Fitz..what happened in Moovile this year ? Where are the recruits ?

Cortland...licking their wounds biding their time waiting for a last lick at Mike Welch.

Thanks 91! This is a very strong MMA team the Dutchmen are facing. However dlip thinks this might be the upset the Dutchmen need this season. It certainly is possible. Thanks for the good vibes!

Maybe It'll be 70-68. Brockport played a game in 2008 with Hartwick in an ECAC Bowl that ended in that score, lol.

Admittedly I've never actually been to Hartwick's stadium (Brockport hardly ever played them ... did they at all?... when I lived up there), but I am always amused by how odd the field looks and the abrupt end to the area when I see it on video when I watch one of their games.
