Encouraging news for fisher faithful
Looking at team thus far optimism is abound!

Yeah, Pep is looking at all the Saxons have lost from last year's walk-on-water season and just hoping Rankl can muster a solid offensive line from among the returnees...not to mention replacing a pretty good QB.       

It will be nice to have some "Speed" on the outside, particularly if we can establish the protection up front and the arm to heave the rock! Time will tell.

I'm guessing most teams are opening camp some time around this weekend. 4 Sats until opening games.
1st Sat practice/check in
2nd Sat scrimmage #1 (intrasquad)
3rd Sat scrimmage #2 (intrasquad again or vs another team)
4th Sat Gameday (Sep 2nd)

Looking at team thus far optimism is abound!

I never know how to read Fisher pre-season. Years I think they look great they sort of fall flat, and years I think will be rough they go to the NCAAs. I see some talent in the list of recruits the Fisher Football Twitter handle has posted (Terry White from Florida, Kevin Every from UE, and Zach Woodard from North Tonowanda all look good to me), but they are all probably a year or two from a real impact.

The good news is there is talent returning: Chambers and Fusco, Demos, coon, Harrington, Blake, etc. not sure how the defense is going to be this year in the second year under the new DC. I just don't see the talent on that side of the ball to be consistently good this year.

Not sure what to expect...

Pep never saw this guy wear glasses before. Pep is thinking it must be an imposter!

I have to confess, I'm never 100% sure how these grad appointments work with regard to that.

I'm guessing that the guys who take this stuff on have shown the ability to evaluate players at other positions. Like, as an example, when I was in grad school, IC had a former offensive lineman who worked with the running backs. He's now a regional scout with the 49ers.

No Fuitko this fall, off season injury, and no viable QBs to replace him...

Going to be a very long year for the Cardinals. Possibly the worst season since 2001...

With a brutal early schedule (at W&J, at Hobart) that does not bode well for Fisher at all.

They have a young QB from Hilton that is a fuitko clone...

A 3rd team all NYS freshman in Tom Fiacchi...

An honorable mention all NYS freshman in Donte Filletti...

Can only hope one of these three step up, they have great skill guys but no QB and a shaky line won't help them make up for a lack of talent on Defense...
