Hartwick opened the season in the most Hartwickiest way.  Captain Billy Pine the QB is back I guess for a super senior year, throwing for 540 yards and 7 touchdowns. Returning 1st team all empire 8 wr khoree reed had 290 receiving yards. Did I mention they lost the game ?  48-47 to W Conn. Boltus is smiling somewhere.

Is this the year Reed just shatters a yardage record? With that defense, and his big play ability, I don't think a 2,500 yard season is out of the question.

Dont get me wrong- I love the fact that Fisher continues to schedule tough OOC games, its just a little unnerving thinking that there is a very legit shot at Fisher having an 0-3 record after the courage bowl and that scares the hell out of me

Ill certainly embrace it!!

Speaking of fear- Ive questioned this since pregame last week...
No Will Coon on 2 deep

As a matter of fact- his number 3 is now the backup QB Ale Uset's number...
What happened?
Was he not our best receiver last year?
Injury?

WD
it seems that Fisher was in position to win the game a few different times but it looked like two things happened:
the d ran out of gas
the running game never materialized.
What happened after that we all saw.

A young QB focusing on big plays..

I like a lot of what i saw and hope they rebound....as long as the fg unit stays on the sideline

agree, and in the end W&J is pretty good.  The defense will have to step it up a little, but if the offense limits mistakes Fisher will be ok.

Hopefully not "win the PAC good".  We'll find out in two weeks.

He's still listed on the roster as #3, the two deep might be a typo...

However not seeing him listed on the two deep does have me thinking it's an injury of some sort...

3 teams have a bye week, all are 1-0. Putting the skids on the momentum gained week 1. Not a fan of such early bye weeks. Buff St, Alfred, Morrisville. Brockport got it right. Their bye week is halfway through the season after the 5th game. Will be good rest at that point.

Utica (1-0) @  Catholic Cards, not the Fisher Cards (0-1) (NEWMAC) 12PM      Long 7hour trip proves educational and fruitful for the Pioneers. Bless you Blaise, get a picture of Trump.
SJF   (0-1)  @  Hobart (0-1)      12PM                        Even though non conf I will say early "must win" game. Hobart kinda embarrassed by Bport. Can a new Fisher QB beat the veteran Sweeney ? I say yes
Cort (1-0)  @ Framingham St MA (1-0) MASCAC   12PM                 Only matchup of 1-0 teams. Steven Ferreira back at helm for C St.     Possible loss on the road.
Ithaca (0-1) @ Brockport (1-0)    odd 2PM start                           Eagles flying high, IC testing the waters. Can the new coaching staff at Ithaca find any answers to slow down Brockport ? I say no.
Hartwick (0-1) @ Alfred St  (0-1) ECFC             6PM                           Hartwick plays another late game, against Alfred's stepsister of the poor. ASt generally is piss poor, so Hartwick should set a few records in a win

Random thought: I forgot that Collichio was a 5th year senior. It feels like he's been around forever

fisheralum91

Good to have him on board!
Esp. with Will Coon not on the field....why is unknown....

I mean, the obvious thought is injury, right? Followed by some sort of off-the-field issue, I guess? He's still listed on the roster.

fisheralum91

He was on the week one 2 deep
then poof no Will Coon.
Yeah- Id lean toward injury

And with 2 TOs remaining, the Coaching staffs opts to take a knee to close out the half.  That about sums up Fisher the past few seasons.  No Killer instinct -

Yeah, with 44 seconds to go. I know the kicking has been bad, but take one shot at least.
