Well if your favorite team is 0-2 you can at least say you have the same record as UWW. ;D

If the same coaches and players show up next week for Fisher that played the first two weeks it is going to be an ugly ugly Courage Bowl.

Would not be a surprise to see Brockport hang 50+ on the Cards --   Time for some fresh blood over on East Ave --

Gotta stop reading both boards and stick to E8 board. Confusing myself.

Lol. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who does that! ::)

Don't feel too bad D3viewer about a little LL/E8 confusion. Currently the E8 website has Brockport 1-0 in CONFERENCE (2-0 overall).  I'm guessing it's a matter of a few mins before someone notifies him/her that a win over Ithaca ( which is no longer in E8) no longer counts for a "conference" win.  Not to mention the fact there's no team in E8 standings with a "conference" lost.  It's probably gonna confuse me a much next year when my BENGALS move over to LL.

Hobart is  1-1 against the E8 and having attended each game I remain impressed with Brockport. Hobart did play better this week in the 31-3 win against Fisher but the Cardinals do not have Brockport's talent level on the lines or at the skill positions. I will be totally surprised if Brockport does not dominate the Courage Bowl next week. After also seeing a good portion of the win over Ithaca today 31-0, I think the Golden Eagles have the talent to go undefeated in the regular season, despite being in the cannibalistic E8.

Bartman, I agree.  I watched both games for both teams and Brockport looks really good.  Hobart was much improved and Fisher looks like they could be in for a long season.  I agree, going undefeated in the E8 is a tough task, but after 2 weeks it looks like Brockport, barring any major injuries, has a chance.

Fisher...yiiiikes.

At least we are still in the running for the conference bid!  For at least the next 6 days baby!

Fisher has never lost a courage bowl, correct?  If that is the case then yes I would say that tradition most certainly looks to be in jeopardy this year.

I've always liked Brockport, so if they are as good as people are saying then I'd love for them to be a strong eastern region playoff rep.  Obviously getting way way ahead of myself since we are only two weeks in.  But Fisher's season is in danger of being over in a few days and I need something fun to look forward to.  (For the record I'm not giving up on Fisher.  I suspect they could make serious improvements as the season progresses.  I just question if it might come to be too little too late.)

To me the chances of Fisher going 0-3 to start the season are very likely. Brockport seems to be very tough on both sides of the ball. Fisher struggled against mobile QB's last year even though they may have won the games against them. Germinerio is a solid runner along with his arm, tough match-up for any D. As for Fishers O, hopefully they can get the ground game going. Chambers is dangerous in the open field but have got to give him some space to operate.  Give credit to Hobarts front 7.  Letta came in and got some reps and experience in the second half at QB for Fisher. Is there a QB competition this week for them or do they continue with Michels?  He looked out of place against Hobart. Seemed to pre-determine throws and just looked uncomfortable in the pocket. But also keep in mind only his second start.

Just got back from AU-SJFC jayvee football game at Yunevich Stadium. When Pep arrived, score was 7-0 Fisher, apparently in third quarter. Except for Fisher connecting on a bomb, it appeared that AU dominated. Final score AU 28, Fisher 14.

Last week, junior Saxons had edged Hobart, 14-6.

My fear of Fisher going 0-3 and being irrelevant in the NCAAs this year is one step closer to fruition.
Just so many things went wrong over what wen right - I dont have time to type it all up.
I was happy that Will Coon was back - albeit rusty and had no rhythm or sync with Michels.
I guess this is the year I sit back - continue to root for the alma mater and watch a new team come to the forefront of the E8.

What's with the Rochester D&C? No local college football coverage. No Saturday preview except Syracuse(?). No Sunday game stories. None. Nada. Zilch. Not a thing. No one. No UR. No Fisher. No Brockport. No Hobart. Will they even write about Courage Bowl?

It's odd, but I've come to the conclusion that it's just not needed anymore. Athletic communication offices have become a one-stop shop for all this stuff. They post detailed game previews and notes. They give you multiple ways to follow the game live (stats, audio, video). They post game recaps quickly and have updated stats.

Now, I know pro teams do this too, but they're always going to move the needle for a paper. And high schools don't have that kind of stuff, so the paper provides it. Small college football is just a strange middle ground.
