Fisher getting completely outclassed...

I was told a big part of why Fox left was that the entire staff was not putting in the same effort when it came to recruiting and long time members of the staff were not putting in the work they should have...

For those reasons alone it seems that Fisher let the wrong coach out the door...

This is the most honest and accurate post ever from the Fisher faithful....  doesn't go far enough in the indictment though

Just to be clear it has nothing to do with the current DC...

He's working with kids he didn't recruit...

He's running a system that needs talent on the DL, he has nothing right now...

Yes ... he's doing a good job - has them playing like they're in the Liberty League

Its not the DC, or the Kickers Coach or other members of the staff or the trainers... .. what we're seeing as been more than a few seasons in the making . ...

I have not posted yet this season but boy does Brockport look good. It's been a while since I've seen them play like this.

That they do...

Love their O-line, very physical and consistently get's good push...

If their defense can keep it up they could have a special year...

Hey PG....your old alma mater is looking mighty fine this year! Mangone has built up a powerhouse and it's looking like the Golden Eagles are soaring!
Maybe you should be making more regular appearances on the boards....like old times! +K
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Fisher Athletics tweets out the clip of the Brockport back going beast mode on them, proud that it made SportsCenter...

And that pretty much sums up the mentality of what is going on at the school these days.

Perfunctory President - Apathetic AD - and Coaches that no longer have the winning edge or attitude.

If Fisher doesn't score 45 this week they're looking at 0-5 dead in the eye...

Hate to say it for Fisher fans but the Hartwick game could be especially entertaining....I expect a win for the Cardinals , but the Cortland score was an eye opener.

Watched about a quarter of that game yesterday.

Hartwick's QB is roughly 8 yards deep on shotgun plays and still takes 2-3 step drops after getting the snap.

The RB is around 10 yards deep.

It's amazing how deep they are in the backfield.

Fisher getting completely outclassed...

This is the softest team I've ever seen, they're completely outmatched on the offensive and defensive lines...

Their recruiting has taken a big step back along the offensive and defensive lines...

I was told a big part of why Fox left was that the entire staff was not putting in the same effort when it came to recruiting and long time members of the staff were not putting in the work they should have...

For those reasons alone it seems that Fisher let the wrong coach out the door...

Fox is super intense as a coach and very much a go getter. If he wants something out of you as a player, he will try and get it no matter how hard he has to push a player. Sometimes players don't take it well but he's not there to be your friend. He put a lot of time and effort into the Fisher program and really made the program go. After he left and the rest of the defensive staff basically left, Fisher had to fill the void of not just defensive coaches but also intensity that was lost which seems as if they haven't had it the last couple years. Keep in mind they still had a pretty good year and remains to be seen how they will fare the rest of the season. It doesn't look good right now but the program had a rough start in 15' and ended up winning 7 straight. Time will tell but it is not the Fisher teams of old.

Hope the Cards figure it out....the E8 and NY football need a strong Fisher team

Fisher needs to change things up, until they get a couple of stud DL to run their 3 man front they need to go to a 4 man front. They've been getting gashed for a while running the 3 DL scheme...

You can't have a 220 lb DE try to hold the edge playing in a 3 lineman set...

As a proud alum I have never been more apathetic about this team since the late 90s
I have gone from planning my Saturday around Fisher games to reading about them on these boards.
How did this program slip so badly?  This team has a probable shot at a losing record.  If you told me that 10 years ago I would have told you that you were nuts.  What has to change?

I think it's important to remember that Fisher has played the 17th and 19th-ranked teams in the country, and a team that is receiving votes (and who themselves lost to that 19th-ranked team). All three of those teams are very good. No, Fisher has not looked good, and this just might be one of those seasons where nothing goes right. But there's plenty of winnable games left on the schedule.
