What is the worst that could happen--they lose?

I'd rather develop the younger guys and lose than run with guys that have proven over the past year and a half to be not so good....

Let the spirit of young blood rules commence!

Pat- thank you for the link.....I think that the Boyes boys will be a great addition to the LL---I hate to see a good program leave the E8....

Automatic 15-yard penalty for violation of long-standing E8 rules. It's Team Boltus. Come on, man. Your season may be going down in flames, but let's try to maintain some semblance of decorum here.

As to your request, we'll take Team Boltus, but in exchange, you have to keep The Cage, and everyone has to play there at least once.

By the way, this finally became official today:

I will definitely check in on E 8 boards in 2019. Not sure what expect in Liberty league but I  do know it means less games vs Alfred!  That's a plus!

I also like the idea of a end of the season game between the top non playoff teams in E8 and LL!

Cage? Team Boltus? What does all this mean for the virgin Statesmen tomorrow? They have no experience with such things. I heard they use 2 balls on offense at once  :o :o

I can speak of this because I'm a LL guy, not beholding to E8 rules.

The "cage" is Hartwick's football field which is set into a hillside with seating on the home, uphill side and a large chainlink fence directly behind the visitor's, downhill side. The closeness of the fence gives the sensation that the game is being played in a cage.
"Team Boltus" refers to former 'Wick QB Jason Boltus who set numerous records...13,276 yds /134 TDs in his prolific career 2005-08.  The "ghost" of Boltus still hovers over the cage, this year in the form of QB Billy Pine...bring your track shoes.
I'm glad Buff. State and not Hartwick (which actually makes much more sense) is the team going to the Liberty League. The only good thing about going to Oneonta to play in the cage is the obligatory stop at Brooks BBQ after the game.

So it's 4th and an inch with seconds before halftime trailing 6-3. Instead of what they normally would do and kick a FG to tie it up they go for it on a QB keeper. They get the TD by getting good push as the entire pile ended up inside the endzone.

They then do a muddle huddle on the two point conversion and they end up snapping it and the back up QB dives in for the conversion.

They go into the half up 11-6.

Funny how now we see the sense of urgency and aggression when they're 0-5 and searching for their first win.

If they're 5-0 they don't go for it. They'd go into half tied up and look to try to make plays after halftime adjustments.

So Fisher's start of the 3rd QTR.

Receive kick off.

Throw INT on first play inside own 15.

Utica Kicks FG.

Fisher Punts.

Fisher forces a punt.

Utica Punter ends up taking a knee to field snap at own 35.

Fisher goes 9 yards on 4 plays.

Ball on their own 1/2 yard line and they run a jet sweep to the outside....

That's just idiotic....

Barely got it out of the endzone....

Zone read on the 1/2 yard line with their back up RB...

Results in a safety...

Idiotic...

All of a sudden Utica is down by 7 instead of 9...

That was a very ugly win last night but a win none the less...

The bottom two ranked offenses in the E8 played like it...

Absolutely brutal to watch at times last night...

Fisher didn't even crack 300 yards of offense...

Not sure if this offense is going to be able to outscore anyone besides Utica the rest of the way out...
