I too will be rooting for Bport (the whole 91 fam will) out of sheer respect for the league and region.
Will I be disappointed if they lose- sure.
Do I expect them to win- no.

Its that small glimmer that they...could....
They got there and the whole region is proud.

Well said 91! We are proud and will be bleeding gold and green come Saturday!
small factoid about UMHB school colors. As you might know, a certain sister school 45 minutes north, Baylor University founded under the same charter by the republic of texas in 1845, has Green and Gold as its school colors. UMHB has purple, gold and white. UMHB has these colors because the were the cooors for the senior class, back when each class had its own colors. don't remember the right order but the classes were green/white, green/gold, purple/ white, and purple gold and white. The senior song, Up With the Purple's first line is "Up with the purple, the gold, and the white"
very cool fact--but is the senior class literally what it sounds like as in  F,S,Jr,Sr
Or was it a societal class ala nobility
it was fr-s-jr-sr senior class. of course back then it was an all girls school
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

The wide open style of play is routine in Texas High School Football.  Gaudy offensive numbers are common.

Look at where D-1 comes to find QB's

Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham -- Stephenville (TX) High School
Ohio State QB J T Barrett -- Wichita Falls (TX) High School
Alabama QB Jalen Hurts -- Channelview (TX) High School
Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield -- Lake Travis (TX) High School

I am really looking forward to this game matching the East Region. The only 2 previous playoff games by a Texas team versus an East Region opponent came in 2013 against UMHB, Rowan 59-8 and SJF 45-23. (Wesley was South Region back in the day.)

I still love the Katy, TX offense.  I've stolen a few plays from them for my own team!

Here is a pretty good video created by Linfield players who visited the Cruthedral, it'll give ya an idea what your young men will see. Enjoy, I hope their experience is excellent! I hope the surroundings and settings bring the very best out of both sides and athletes.

Crusader Stadium is very impressive.  When you let the youtube video run it brings you to an even more impressive tour of the stadium... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Mnlec3ouOA...We have nothing really comparable in D3 in the East. RPI's East Campus Village stadium is the closest and that's only on one side of the field. It's little wonder with facilities such as this and Texas high school athletes to recruit that UMHB is at the top of D3.

It is indeed a spectacle.
Most D1 teams in the northeast would beg for facilities like those......

Here I thought we were doing something with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCcvPKe9974

I don't know about the amenities, but Cortland's stadium may be the closest.
