Lax has had a good run. Haven't followed lately to see where they stand in the rest of the D3realm. As for the football chatter,  not much comes out of the Red Dragon Camp. Can just sit back watch the streams from week to week and hope for the best. Believe we have Utica this week. Shows how much I've been following!

Another classic between Fisher and IC. Ithaca scored 38 points in the first half, before Fisher came back and cut the lead to 38-35 with most of the 4th quarter left to go. IC made more plays down the stretch to preserve the lead is basically the takeaway. One critical call where Fisher appeared to have a first down on a 3rd and 9, that would have moved the ball into the red zone. After initially calling it a catch, the officiating crew deemed Blake was out of bounds. IC stopped the 4th down attempt, which was a critical play in the game. I watched the game on the IC broadcast and from their camera angle it did appear that Blakes foot was out of bounds, so the refs seemed to get it right.

What a good game. It looked like a Varsity vs JV game in the first half, and then Fisher looked really good in the 2nd half. If Fisher ever figures out how to play 4 quarters they could be really good.
GO FISHER!!!

Three good games in the E8 this weekend:

Alfred v. Morrisville St......Alfred defense vs. the Mustangs passing game should determine this one. Slight advantage Saxons, but an upset would not surprise.

Brockport v. SJF..............Brockport defense is very strong and June has settled in at QB, SJF showed some major league offense against the Bombers. Advantage Brockport , however if Fisher wins this board will light up again with the Fishermen faithful.

Utica v. Cortland..............Cortland looks like it has all the tools, but Utica is very competitive this year. Advantage Cortland but Utica is no easy win.

Reports from Cortland last week were very positive towards the offense. Worked well on field as a unit. No real burners or hammers but everyone working in sync created a synergistic effect. Hopefully I'll have a chance to check this weeks game out.

Cortland looks incredibly dangerous offensively. At this point, they are the clear favorite in the E8 to me

Food for thought: Cortland's previous opponents are winless with exception of a 12-10 win by Fitchburg over Castleton. Utica has played St Law (2-2), Buff St (0-4 v good teams), RPI (3-1)

Looking to see some offensive fireworks today from the Dragons. Hope the D can extinguish whatever Utica can put on the field. One step closer after today!

Good point looking at the OWP's , but I'm still sticking with the Dragons. Guess this is why they play the game.

My assessment of this game, it will come down to the Utica defensive backs. If they are competitive versus the Cortland air attack and stop over the top pass plays and make them drive the field, Utica wins. If Cortland pass game is rolling, Cortland wins.

Dragons look good so far...better minus a few penalties.

42-6 Dragons late on the 4th. Better than I expected by the D. Offense did what they have been doing! Great win

Cortaca is shaping up be epic

Caz Bombers

with Hobart losing and Trine getting completely murdersmashed, Cortland should be entering the Top 25 tomorrow night.

Sure is shaping up, but we still have to go through Port, Fisher, and Alfred in whatever the order happens to be. Two 9-0s or thereabouts would be climactic!
