Thanks for the greeting AUPep...I do remember our 'little' exchange...all in good fun of course.  You did get us good last year...and I look forward to my bi-annual drive to cold Merrill Field in a couple weeks.

You a former player?

Played WR in the side yard as a kid dreaming of wearing purple and gold. Lifelong fan. AUPepBand's Pops, who's missed three AU home games in past 67 years, has taken him to AU games since he was out of diapers.

GO SAXONS!!!

Good, thanks.  Weather has warmed up again after a brief snowstorm early in the week.  Taking Friday off next week to go visit Cali for the first time ever and hang out with mioh.  How are things back east?

MIYH: Sorry about your Mets, man....they had their chances. AUPepBand's Pops followed the Mets this season and had become somewhat of a fan, this coming from a guy who had never embraced a Major League Baseball team. AUPepBand was Montreal Expo fan from their alpha to omega....who lost their support after the strike, a season in which they were destined for glory.

Had snow here in Alfred today. Out here in the "Highlands," October snow is not uncommon.

Anyone heard if the Prides fullback Jackson is gonna be ready for the game. I know he left last weeks game with a tender ankle. Gonna be a little tougher to run that option if the big guy isn't able to power the inside running game. SJF will be able to key on Sharpe if that happens.

Speaking of possible players not playing it will be interesting to see if Miranto and Stepnick are back in the lineup for SJF.  Both are solid tacklers and would be missed this weekend....

My son took '06 Spring Break and flew to Vegas where he manifested his subconscious hatred for money, then bussed to Santa Barbara to chill with my cousin's son. He has some great stories from that trip....wrote a journal, which we found and read while on a trip to Connecticut to see him.....hilarious!

Good stuff...a little confused though...who have you been taking to games since he was out of diapers?  Or is that your "Pop" that has taken you to games since ...?

God I hated it when it snowed in alfred, btw alfred state was built on a mountain w/ a 45 degree angle, so if your car didnt have good tires there was no way you were making it up to the freshman parking lot.....

First storm there drove down to the dining hall and tried to go back up but ended up sliding down the road into a parked car....

good times, good times...

I miss GJ's, Alex's on mug night and the 5 dollar pizzas at the uni-mart....

Now there's a Panda Chinese Restaurant next to Alex's, a DP Dough across from Alfred Sub & Pizza Shop, Old West Food Company w/bar, Terra Cotta Coffeehouse, Little Sicily Pizzeria down the road approaching Tinkertown, which includes a Subway with the ArrowMart gas station (formerly was College Mobil)....not to mention Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut on Alfred State campus
