Brockport will need to win out and Utica to beat Cortland, most likely having 3 teams from the E8 regionally ranked, getting them to 1-2 in the final regional rankings and on the table.

I think Utica is a great story at 5-0.

But I think Cortland is a different beast than they are used to. And their performance against Papantonis doesn't inspire me. Had he been healthy the whole game, I think he might have run for 500 yards

Dragons in control against Hartwick but I'm not overly impressed offensively today. Missed a 20ish yard FG on one drive and laid an egg on another. Run game not as dominant as I would have thought. 2 other drives resulted in TDs. Defensively we had a scoop and score. Not bad but didn't expect Hartwick to really slow us down in the trenches.

Guess I should have kept watching! A little shocked with Utica beating Port! Didn't think Utica had the guns to pull it off and Brockport would be salty after last week! Looks like a showdown of unbeaten next week!

Hey, congratulations to Utica!

For those who are new to the boards, "Is this the year Utica arrives????" was sort of an ongoing question/inside joke.

Well, they've arrived. They absolutely *gash* Brockport on offense. Averaging 6.9 yards per play (nice). Dare I say, we have a showdown next week, and it's at Utica. By far, this will be the biggest game in program history.

And, bigger picture...Utica, even with a loss in that game is quite possibly going to be 9-1. If Union puts it together and wins the LL at 9-1...are the Pioneers a legit threat to make the NCAAs?

Ice Bear asks where the **** is DewCrew when you need him?

Utica's QB changes the dynamic of any game he plays in. Ice believes what he has brought to the table has played a large role in what has propelled this team to this great start. Ice says that he wasn't the only player Ice was impressed with either. Ice is looking forward to this match up. Ice says IC is right on when he said that this is the biggest game in the history of the program.

Utica has beaten Cortland (and I believe IC) once in the not so distant past. I don't believe either were playing as well as they are this season.....which obviously has set the stage for this weeks game! Looking forward to this one and hoping the Dragons get it done again! The C Dogs have played in big games before....hopefully the composure and execution is there!

Ice Bear says HUGE ****ing game this weekend between the Red Dragons and the Pioneers. Ice is very happy for Utica and agrees wholeheartedly with Frank Rossi's statement that, "Utica has been waiting for this game for years...". Ice isn't sure whether or not the Pioneers can win, Ice believes they certainly will have a chance if they're athletic D is physical and Zenelovic plays great (which he is very capable of doing). Ice is ****ing down for this one and hopes it lives up to it's billing. He will be rooting for whomever wins in the NCAA's unless of course they play the LL winner.

This board has been pretty slow! Glad to see some interaction! I'm not sure what to make of this match up! We know Cortland can score at will on lesser opponents and grind out 4 scores on decent/good opponents! Utica has been playing better and better each week! Who shows up for either squad is what has me nervous! Coach Fitz has the Dragons rolling and am hoping they don't skip a beat

E8 board has been pretty quiet up until this battle of the undefeated. Cortland offense looks like it may be too much for the Utica defense, but games like this is why D3 football is great . Utica has earned their shot and just needs to rise to this special opportunity. Looking forward to the battle today.

Congrats to Cortland today. On the way to a collision with Ithaca at Yankee Stadium in November.

Dragons did it with style points to add on! Never thought I'd see the day where Fisher and Alfred would be games on the schedule that would be considered gimmes! Stay focused and get it done next week! Then the week after!

Pep has compared all the Cortland-Alfred season stats and it appears that the Red Dragons, averaging 52 points per game and yielding just 14 points a game, are clear favorites at Yunevich Stadium Saturday, as the Saxons are averaging just 15 points per game and yielding 31. Hoping the Saxons will rise to the occasion, sharpen their swords, and slay those nasty Red Dragons!

While Pep, unable to confirm whether Cortland actually has one, will go out on a limb and suggest that Alfred University, even in this rebuilding season, has the better pep band!  :-\

Pep, this I'm sure is true. Good luck slaying the Dragon

Dragons and Saxons in a close one from I've seen! Keep grinding! Morrisville leading Utica...didn't think that would happen but there is still lots left to play!
