i think cstate deserves to be around #10...........the coaches have them at #6 which i think is lofty.........Pat, Ray's stats look about the same as Alex's............Alex is a very good QB and hes obviously the best we have but you don't think Ray can keep this up? he has looked very good

Pat Coleman

I think you know full well there's a difference between a three-year starter and a three-game starter at quarterback when it comes to facing Rowan and Ithaca in the final two weeks.

He's played West Conn and Montclair, lets see if you still think he's good vs Rowan and IC....

Enjoy trying to slow the Springfield offense down. Witnessed first hand today what it can do.

Also, how is Utica?

There's info about it in the FAQ.

In all honestly I dont know if IC has the offense to hang with SC this week....

The good thing for IC is that this is the first game SC will play on grass this season...

QUESTION:

Has Springfield seen the 3-4 D yet this year?  I know we're well into the season, but do they know whats coming at them, or could they be another Huntingdon?

Pat Coleman

I think the grass is far more likely to be a factor than a possibly different defensive scheme.

Heres a scenario:  Fisher, Cortland, Rowan, Springfield, and Ithaca all lose at least one more game this season...  every team with 2 losses... where would that scenario get us?  the same, or do we start considering other teams for the bids?

or is this just a plain outrageous scenario.... Springfield (might) only lose 1 game... no way they can lose 2?

That would leave Alfred with one conference loss and the auto bid from the E8.  Cortland hasn't lost yet, so they'd have to lose 2 of their last three games.  Rowan/Cortland winner would have the auto bid from the NJAC by virtue of head-to-head win and the rest of the teams would get thrown into pool c consideration.  Although with only seven options for pool c, it's tough to assume that a two loss team will get in.

Actually, I think the scheme itself is what will beat/ (or lose to) Springfield.  Im not saying that Ithaca can suprise SC with a defense that its never seen, but I think sound play by the olbs/DEs can make a difference in this game.

Lets remember.  Springfield has been running the same offense against Ithaca since the 1970s.  Ithaca knows what is comming.  Can the OLBs/Des be ready for the task?  Will SC fumble 4-8 times a game like they usually do against IC?  How many of those fumbles will be lost?
