Football games cant be won by offense alone, and arent stats a reflection of skill. In the few games i saw, willis made defensive backs and safetys look stupid by how open he got on them. Also i saw him make tremendous blocks to spring the back into the secondary. Also it would only take about a half game of scouting film to realize that hartwick passes. To still beable to dominate knowing they will pass is a testiment to skill

Having never seen him play, I must admit some ignorance in this matter. However, the coaches obviously thought more highly of Esposito and, really, you can't blame them. I would like to know how many of Willis's TD's came against 2nd and 3rd string defenses. Hartwick really got it handed to them a few times this year.

A Bomber-less Saturday... what a bummer.  Woke up to a dream in which we were stomping Hobart on Union's field 28-7 after the first quarter. 

Still thinking about that decision to punt from the 33 last week. Maybe it would have changed things... but still when you give up the kind of numbers we did to the Union offense, I guess you deserve your fate.

Anybody hear any rumblings about the schedule next year? I'm assuming Lycoming is off, but I guess that's not for sure.  It's a lot more fun to schedule competitive games for the non-conference, but it doesn't pay off too much.  Ithaca probably would have had a first round home game, had they played the Larries instead of the resurgent Lyco's.

Hey Tecmobowler.....You can say all you want about Walton-Yedlin's antics but the Ithaca fans on Union's sideline were saying some pretty nasty things to Union all day........the bottom line is that you are calling Yedlin out and he had 11 tackles and 3 sacks against you in a game that whoever had some semblance of a defense was going to win.....Yedlin was the difference between the 2 teams.

TASTE IT!!!!!

Oh lordie.  I am not calling anyone out. I don't think you can give credit to anyone on Union's defense to winning last week. 

While their offense was marching down the field time after time, #91 was busy yelling at fans.  He acted like a complete idiot and was a blemish on an otherwise good day for Union.  If anyone was going to get in the face of Ithaca fans (who were stuck on the Union sideline because there are no visiting bleachers), it should have been anyone from the U's offense.  They didn't though... they had better things to do than jaw with fans. Unions offense was awesome, their defense was pathetic... probably the worst I saw all year with the exception of Norwich.  #91 can take all the pride he wants in his indivdual stats( and i have a sneaky feeling he does), but unless their team defense improves, he'll be posting on the message board before long.
