Does the NCAA use the same formula for QOWI as is found on this SIGHT?

Ithaca
--------
Current QoW:  9.286
Opponents Left:  at Alfred, at Cortland
QoW with Two Wins:  10.556

What is the QOW for Ithaca if the QoW included Huntington?

Actually, there was a slight glitch in my numbers, because Ithaca's QoW would be 10.333 if everyone won out (since Alfred would finish below 0.667 this season under this scenario).  It doesn't affect the conclusion that Ithaca can't catch Springfield in QoW.  However, if we include Huntingdon, it would raise Ithaca's QoW by 0.167 -- still not enough.

Also, I revised the post because the same glitch occurred with regard to Alfred in the Springfield numbers.  Thus, SJF actually leads Springfield in the hypothetical QoW, 10.900 to 10.800.  Still way too close to call.

Ithaca can only get the automatic is the Cardinal fall to Alfred.

Man oh man, would I love a home game.  Opening night of our middle school play is the 18th, so I can't travel too far.  Cmooooooon four seed!

Good sign for Bombers fans this weekend:

-Bombers O-Line opening up huge holes

-New faces contributing to the defense

-Bomber intensity seems to be high

-Juvan continues to minimize mistakes.  IC Must have a great turnover ratio.

-Great fan support on a miserable day

What a great game.  First game back since playing did not disappoint.  Little scalice is a monster and loved the uncovered field on friday to make it slick.  Nice to meet Mr. N and Mr. Gordon as well as seeing the lumpy family and some FDCer's.  Bombers made me proud

Max, Jose,   good job on NJAC... Jose, love the signature.  +K all around

Love the Dubbz +2K.

Do we have an early weather report for Merrill Field Saterday?
There will be LOTS of it on Saterday:
Snow Showers
Lo 27°, Hi 39°

Nestled away 'mid the Empire State hills,
'Neath the watch-care of sentinel pines,
Where the murmuring song of the brook hums along,  [Kanakadea Creek roars behind Merrill Field home stands after heavy rain]
And a favoring sun ever shines;  [They call it the Alfred Sun 'cause it only comes out once a week.]
In a valley so fair where the forest trees share
Dominion o'er hillside and glen,
Stands the pioneer college of Western New York
Alfred, we hail thee again.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

question--does the bye week help or hurt fisher?

Probably both.

Helps them heal and rest for a late season push.

Hurts their timing.  Hard to take a bye week and disrupt your rhythm late in the year.  The Gators looked out of sync coming off their bye week.

EDIT: I also am undecided how it effects their mental prep for Alfred.  They could either take the two weeks to become really focused on the stakes OR take the two weeks to overthink Alfred and come out tight knowing the implications.

I think IC having two bye weeks (sorry budcrew) really helped going into the Springfield game... if they had gone into that game straight off of Fisher/Port it could have been a different story, even at Butterfield.

I would appreciate it if a game against Utica wasn't considered a "bye" week by the "sharks" (to use some more fishing analogies discussed earlier this morning) of SJF and IC... We get out there and play hard for 60 minutes just like anybody else...
Good luck to all E8 teams this Saterday... (as a journalist it really hurts to type that)

ick... I decided to just let it go... +K to dubbz for the attempt

So real quick. the current D3 ranking goes Cstate, Hobart, Ithaca, Rowan, Field, Fish......... If IC beats Cstate they should move way up... so is this another point of Rankings mean nothing?

fisheralum91

I missed the game sat - but it really didnt look like i missed much--sorry crew.
As a sox fan---im used to saying --wait til next year...

maxpower

But as a Sox fan, you have the second-highest payroll in baseball, so that's not really an astute analogy anymore.
