3 teams in the regional rankings.  Can all 3 get into the playoffs?

Only 2 surprises I see are that Springfield only dropped to 4, and that Rowan dropped so far to 10.

Looks like the committee had been waiting on a reason to discount Rowan but couldn't because they kept winning.

Wilkes surprised me a bit vaulting over C-State.

Notice Baldwin-Wallace looming in 7th Place in the North.  That's a problem, especially with Capital still on its schedule.

Frank, does your firm bill in ten minute increments? If so, do you bill when you post? Not attacking you, just seeing what I will be able to get away with next summer.

Same could be asked of you, Jose.

6 minutes for JoseQ...and no, I don't bill why playing around online.

The following 27 teams are elligible for the ECAC Championships.  An "X" denotes that the team is eligible for the NCAA Playoffs.  Ten teams have received such "X"s, but only six of these teams, at most, will be invited to the NCAA Playoffs.  The ECAC Committee will choose six teams from the remaining teams.  Therefore, teams not in the top 12 (indicated by the dotted line) must play their way into an ECAC slot or hope for the Committee to try to balance Upstate NY team appearances with New England team appearances.

I've never really understood the purpose of the ECAC "Championships".
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Night crew punching in....

Im one of the most critical fisher fans on here and I think this hating on Coach V. is a little too much.  I never had a problem with him and how he goes about doing things there, the only issue I had there (while being a player and now a fan) is their former OC.  Ive voiced my opinion on him enough so I wont get into that now.

Coach V is a great recruiter and a great motivator, I turned down a D-II ride in Missouri to go to SJF and I never went into a game unmotivated.

IC, Rowan, Cortland, RPI, Hobart all have games where they just either come out flat or just dont get it done at the end of the day.  SJF does as well, sure it comes at the worst possible time but every team goes through that.  With their recent success comes alot more pressure to succeed and I think they'll be able to over come that just like they overcame being cellar dwellars for years.

The other coaches always have their players ready, Scaccetti has been instrumental to their success.  He's helped this offense have 1000yd rushers for 6 straight seasons I think (Meyers 3x, Robbinson, Reile, Robinson).  Faggiano is from IC, what else really needs to be said?  Seriously though, although he has them in a 4-4 something im not fond of (dont know if thats Faggiano or Voshburg) he does a good job at calling games.

1.  Fisher coaches always have their players prepared for every game.  They were prepared for the Alfred game last year. they played hard and they got beat.  It happens sometimes.

I also meant to mention this.  Now that the coaches' preparation has been called into question are Fisher fans going to rewrite their argument as to how they got beat by Alfred?  Now Alfred was the better team and won in spite of the fact that Fisher played well?  If that is the case, Alfred is the favorite in two weeks.  Fisher has the same team and Alfred's offense is ten times better than the offense that beat you last year.

Nope, SJF got beat last year because of their innefectiveness (spelling) to move the ball due to bad play and great defense by Brady and Co.

I do not think that AU was the better team, but they couldnt move the ball on Offense, I think they allowed 13 pts that game.   They came out with a great defensive effort, but their offense was terrible.  Part of that was the fact that they split time w/ Robby and Reile and their former OC putting the QB in bad situations. I love Robby but Reile was on a roll last season and I thought he played well enough to be the starter and get the bulk of the carries.  This offense is all about being in a rythm and timing.  Reile was on a tear and Robby was coming off an injury (even though he got some time vs Utica).

Polls are out, here is the East Region:

East
1. Hobart 7-0 7-0
2. Wilkes 8-0 8-0
3. Cortland State 7-0 8-0
4. Springfield 7-1 7-1
5. St. John Fisher 8-1 8-1
6. Union (New York) 6-1 6-1
7. Ithaca 6-1 7-1
8. Alfred 6-2 6-2
9. Curry 9-0 9-0
10. Rowan 4-1 5-2

http://www.ncaasports.com/football/mens/polls/polls/diviii

Does the poll take into account things like "Fisher's two best players are injured"? Or that since that one half of bad football at Growney, IC, Fisher, and Springfield have all played two good teams. Fisher beat Brockport by the least, and lost to Springfield. The very next week IC held that very same team to seven points, which is incidentally the total they've held every team to since that one half of bad football at Growney. And, in my opinion, IC's offense hasn't played to their potential yet. If the only reason Fisher is ranked higher than IC is because of their head-to-head, what of IC and Springfield's head-to-head? Was IC's loss somehow more indicative than Springfield's? I know the polls are meaningless but aaaahhhhhhh!

boobyhasgameyo

Well Ithaca lost to Fisher by 24, Fisher only lost by 18 to Springfield.  Maybe that's why? lol

maxpower

lol rotfl

That argument holds little water to me. If points = a good football game, then:

SJF beat IC by 24 (IC = -24)
SC beat SJF by 17
IC beat SC by 17 (+34 for IC over SJF)

IC, over the course of the season between the three, beat SJF by ten points!

Or is that horse****?

The ones in Bold, I think, need to get at least 1 more loss for all 3 E-8 teams to make the NCAA...
