I think that person was actually a norwich poster! Wow..

I'm starting to wind down too.... I don't think there is any midnight shift, maybe you can do that booby.

cstate19

what board? the NJAC? and what posts?

maxpower

I just ripped apart a story about someone's 85-year-old mom over on NJAC if you're looking for fireworks.

Sometimes rilin' is fun, BA!

cstate19

i see that........

pg04

I can only IMAGINE what type of backlash this will cause!.... Although I don't see the need to have 7 paragraph long posts on a football discussion board.

maxpower

Especially when they're about the evils of discussing football.

Okay, I'm SERIOUSLY out now... can't wait to wake up and see if my karma's still positive.

pg04

Night Max...Don't worry I don't think there are more than 10 rowan posters..................

boobyhasgameyo

Picking up the E8 baton from the Graveyard Shift to pass it along to the Morning Crew...

Alfred Sun picks are out for this week and, while they've got AU close to the Bombers, I'm hoping, once again, that they are underestimating the Saxons, the AU Pep Band and some Merrill Field Magic.

Alfred Sun D-III College Forecast
Upstate New York -- Saturday, Nov. 4
*Brockport   28   Apprentice   14
*College of New Jersey   21   Buffalo State   12
Cortland   28   *Rowan   23
*Hamilton   10   Middlebury   0
*Hobart   27   Union   24
Ithaca   20   *Alfred   17
Rensselaer   21   *Rochester   19
*St. Lawrence   28   Merchant Marine   21
*Springfield   55   Hartwick   31
*Utica   21   Norwich   6

I could be wrong but I believe that anytime Alfred has scored a win over Ithaca, they've done it as underdogs....and at Merrill Field. AU may have been favored in 1982 (a 20-7 win at South Hill Field) following AU's 1981 undefeated season. But certainly the Saxons were underdogs in 1989, 1993 and 1995 when they won 17-10, 30-20 and 13-12, all at Merrill Field.

GO SAXONS!!!

Alf fans, why did the Saxons rely on the pass so much last week against Hobart? Keeley threw the ball 43 times. Given the weather, I thought they would be much more run-oriented. Plus, Newsome had something like 71 yards on 8 carries...why didn't they go to him more? It was a close game throughout but it seems like the abandoned the run?

I brought that up last week - Newsome is a horse & the coaches have completely abandoned the running game... For no reason at all it seems.
If anything, running Newsome more would bring the backers up and may loosen things up for Keeley more.

AU's running game has been somewhat inconsistent in '06 because of injuries. The 1-2 punch of Newsome and Fuentes was broken up in the Thiel game. Fuentes and Newsome had good chemistry. Frosh Vinson Hendrix looked very good in the early games this season until an ankle injury sidelined him. Morgan O'Brien stepped in and did a nice job at Utica and, I believe, at Husson (wasn't there, can't recall stats).

Hendrix started against Hobart after sitting out two weeks...but from what I could see, he wasn't 100% and ended up re-injuring his ankle. Newsome then stepped up and looked very good and will likely get more touches this week. AUPepBand would like to think it was the "pep" talk he gave to Newsome early last week and now confident the E-Train will be on track Saterday.

Check out the youtube video if you get a chance.

At the twenty second mark, does it look like an Ithaca WR is all by himself in the endzone... and does a bit of a angry skip becomes Juvan doesnt see him? Man, he looked ridiculously open.

There's four points left on the board right there.

Wow, didn't know that was up there.  Thanks.

+K for Tecmo.

Looks like IC was plagued by missed tackles, same thing SJF was supposed to have been plagued by vs Springfield.

Predictions for Saterday:

Bombers-30, Gatto and the boys-13
Taste IT-20, say goodbye to the playoffs-13
Pumpkins-27, Wineandcheese crew-21

shwewa! that was a tough 14 pages to read... good job night shift, lots of good production!  So, after the review is it really possible that the committee would choose to put IC at Fish in the first round if both teams win out??  If one wins out would they put IC/Fish @ Field?  If 3 E8 teams get in I wouldnt doubt it.
