Yes, Utica filed.

Thought about rookie of the year but too late in the process. We were picking up this format and committee from another organization which did All-Region teams in the past and I did not properly consider making changes to it. Would have had to do that at the time of the nominations.

Alfred totally overlooked nominating players, so it was hard to vote for them.

That is an awful mistake by the SID.  Jeez, I took it for granted they would have sent something in.  My bad Pat.

Was their any consideration for Michael Capra, our tailback, or any of our defensive players, such as William Pluff, a linebacker, or Jon Klosner, a free safety?

ROY would be a nice addition (4 regionals) but I'd like to see a team too... either all 22 positions plus special teams or just a list of all the notable freshmen that got some decent burn on the stat chart.

How'd your team end up Dubbz?

finished 7 and 11... not bad for switching goalies 1/3 the way through the season when he had no experience in net.

Had the #1 scorer in the league with 39.

Are you going to be back there next year Dubbz?

Hey Pat, how about a spot on the all region team designated for fullbacks.  We need love too

The Alfred SID actually operates out of the Communications Office at AU rather than answer to the Athletic Department. While he has done admirably considering he's in a split position (last I knew he handled other news releases, etc.), it's definitely either an oversight OR I know his wife was seriously ill earlier this year. He may have taken some time off to be with her.

Which of the Saxons would any of you voted for, and where would you place them? Personally, I don't see Brenton Brady any less than First Team Defense.

I'm surprised Jose Colon didn't get more consideration. I wouldn't think one could pick 9 LB's in the region better than him. It was probably just a case of someone looking at the scores of Ithaca's games and saying "ooh, their defense is no good, throw out nominees there."

Second that here......Colon and Ross had HUGE years.....but we did suffer some I'm sure because of the Defense's overall ranking....

Tecmo,

Do your holiday plans include hanging around town, or are you going to be in Roch/Bing for most of the break?

I have to teach until the 23rd, so I'll be down here for quite some time.

Will be home at least between the 24th and the 28th.  Not sure what the plan after that is.... have to come up with something fun for my birthday!

I'll be in Bristol for your b-day, sadly.  Rowdy rowdy was supposed to get in touch with me about going to the Albany airport, but never did, so Oobs is planning something for New Years and then I fly out of there.

Can't believe you have to teach that late.  Kids are done here this week.  I'll be around next week if you don't have much teaching to do...
