I suppose it's possible, but they don't tend to look ahead.

If there was ever an opportunity for a letdown game (after Springfield and before Cortland) it was this.

Playing on the road has been a struggle over the past few years.  This game can be lumped in with Lycoming last year, and Brockport two years ago, as flat losses on the road against good, but not great teams.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Union's about to punch one in, they are already up 10 with under 4 minutes to play....

What a flipping mess...

The NJAC now has a shot at a pool C if Cortland wins next week....
The LL now has a shot at a pool C if Hobart wins next week....
The E8 only has 1 pool C contender right now....

Im thinking the East goes like this now...

1) Wilkes
2) Springfield
3) Union
4) Rowan
5) Hobart
6) SJF
7) Cortland
8) Curry/CG

Better watch out for Rowan...they are predicting they will steamroll the east now...after a very impressive victory over Cortland and their third string quarterback.

I need backup in the NJAC BOARD!! I've really gotten myself in deep this time lol....but they are just not making sense.

Over a month ago I said if Ithaca doesn't play a very good game against Alfred, they will lose. Many other IC fans brushed aside that statement and toed the familiar "they've never beaten us before" line. Well, Bomber fans, it's a new generation of E8 football and we better get used to being one of four good teams in the conference.

can I say as a college football fan, Isn't this AWESOME,  I mean ya I love D1 but comeon the playoff format is incredible, going into the last week of the season there are so many incredible games.

And can I say just as Ithaca had a let down game after a huge win, alfred may get a little to cocky,  I highly doubt fisher will go into this game like they did last year, I hope I don't have to eat my words

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

What the hell is up with UR?

They're 7-2 and are going into a game vs an overhyped opponent....

They very well might end up 8-2.....wierd

AC @ IC

Bottom line: Alfred's a good team that capitalized on IC's mistakes this afternoon. No way they get in with 2 losses. Not happening.

Cortaca got interesting in a different way, though. Now Cortland needs to beat IC to make the playoffs, pretty much. And you know IC's gonna come out breathing fire after the letdown game this week.

Well sporting teams are now allowed to improve their teams, they passed that law in 1992 I believe under the "Ithaca football monopoly has got to stop" act (maybe Jose can back me up on this?)

Do you think Greene had that much of a difference this season at the helm compared to last season?

I don't think it hurt them lol

alright checking out time.  interesting stuff though this weekend......

THE EAST IS A MESS RIGHT NOW!!!

This is why I got so tired of the 3-way Pool C scenerio, and kept predicting that not all 3 teams were going to have one loss... of course I thought it was Fisher that was going to lose...... ???

I am currently taking Antitrust right now and can tell you defendant's with monopoly power almost always win Antitrust cases. This started in the 80's and has continued through modern times; it is a product of a more Conservative Supreme Court.

Ithaca would merely have to argue that their monopoly was efficient in that it forced other teams to pump money into their football programs in order to compete. Further, the Bombers gained their monopoly by lawful means and, thus, are allowed to enjoy the fruits of their labor (i.e. there was no monopolistic conduct).

Just keeping it real...
