Alabama?  Somehow I just don't see Peggy signing off on that flight down there for an away game.

tecmobowler

Well thats darn interesting Dubby. Your source is pretty solid so I tend to believe that is the case.

The team from Alabama would be the Huntingdon Hawks.  This year they had a pretty good record, against a fairly soft schedule so a win could help our SOS.

Very interesting indeed.

Huntingdon fans posted last week on the board regarding this game.

The Open Dates board is accurate as much as schools contact us to remove dates. If they contact us, we remove them. If they don't, it could take until the schedules come out before we have confirmation that a date is closed.

Glad to see the game is at home.  It'll be exciting to see a new team in Butterfield... can't wait!

Huntingdon has posted a 2006 schedule on their website and it looks like we have added a couple of playoff teams for next year. Could be a pretty tough schedule.

9/2     @Ithaca
9/9 Sewanee
9/16   @Millsaps
9/23   @Rhodes
9/30 Wesley
10/7 Trinity
10/14 @Colorado College
10/21 @Thomas More
11/4   @SAGU
11/11 LaGrang

......opening early.... out of region, should be interesting....I like the mid season bye.....

Now if "everybody" heals.....and works the off season to the max....then we we get re-loaded.....who knows.

The Liberty League disease of not knowing how to spell Ithaca has spread south.

I hope Huntingdon learns how to spell Ithaca by the time they arrive in September.

I'm glad to see we've added someone week 1.  As much as I dont like bye weeks it will be fun to go and cheer against cortland or take a trip to vegas during the downtime.

Should be a good test to start the year off w/ our new QB.

Lyco80

Bomber fans,

Sorry to see we will not be meeting next Fall, however, the MAC is losing three teams in 07 so we may see a return of the Williamsport - Ithaca connection in the near future.

Ithaca and Lycoming both have great head coaches and extremely successful programs. Although unlike the Bombers the Warriors have yet to win the whole enchilada.

D3 football is an emerging venue and I think we have not seen the last of it.  It reminds me of the development and fan interest in sing A, double A and triple A baseball.

Merry Christmas to all you Empire 8 posters - especially any Navy veterans.

All the Best

TNBomberDad

Have been absent for a while but catching up periodically. Just not as much fun once we were out. Look forward to seeing the schedule and following the bombers next year! Wanted to wish all the E-8 (and the LL boys) but especially the IC folks happy holidays! Will be out on the coast visiting 27 and hitting Napa for some tastings!

Jonny Utah

Congrats to bomber Glen Caruso for getting the Macalester job.  Glen was an academic all-american Center in the bombers in the early-mid 1990s.  Hes a good man and a good coach.  Best wishes Glen.

Merry Christmas to all and TNDad, tastings is an understatement, Napa is heaven.  Almost enough to keep me out here.  OK, christmas wish list

LL boys - more third person talk to brighten our days

Mr. N - A great season for Joey

Lumpy - a few more catches for the "bam"

Dubbz - One more great player to put you over the top

Lyco - a couple more matchups with the bombers

Pat - a year when you db't have to boot some posters

TNDad - No premature grand children, Lol

Dragon58 - Good luck until you meet us again

All of the colored hats - To next year when maybe I could join you in festivities

and finally to
Cstate19 - a clue

AUPepBand

AUPepBand would like to wish all fellow posters a very Merry Christmas!

And....congrats to AFCA All-Americans Joe Scalice (Ithaca) and Brenton Brady (AU).  :) Brady has been a big part of the Saxons' revival. And he's a class individual who's as hard a hitter as you'll find in D3. As a team captain, he made AU football fun for all. Does a lot for team morale and results on the field.

And all I want for Christmas is a trombone player for 2006.   8)

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

We announced our All Americans this morning in the two-hour Stagg Bowl pregame.

Congratulations to Fehrenbach, Lang, Brady, Schultz and Scalice who were all selected.

Think Norwich missed Pierre Garcon much this year? Cripes, he's amazing.
A 2004 graduate of the "almighty legendary" Ithaca College. Goooooo Bombers.
