You have a point.

and a lot of the pissing away can be atributed to OC who had no clue what he was doing at the end of the year, and that was from the mouth of a starting linemen from last years team

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I can attest to that....

with Hobart losing  UofR now takes a step ahead of Alfred in two loss teams,  and they become a threat if they beat hobart.  Jeez this could be a really long week

I'm not sure how Rochester's 20 point loss to Fisher and 3 point loss to Union is more impressive than Alfred's 7 point losses to Springfield and Hobart.  I kinda think that there will be a pool C bid from the LL and E8, so that would make this coming Saterdays matchups play-in games so to speak.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

I don't want everybody to be hating on everybody from here on out, we actually had some kind of unity thing going for a while there.  Please let us all just get along : )

Thanks Saxon73, that was my official plea for the week

***Blatantly early prediction alert***

I still say Fisher's defense has done outstanding this year against conventional offenses and with the defense getting healthier over the bye I don't see any reason for that to change, I just hope there isn't any rust.

The offense is doing enough, and I think the passing game has come along enough at this point to be considered effective.

Alfred's offense is markedly better than last year and while their defense is still very stout it can't be as good as last year because Brady was just that frightening....

Fisher 34
Alfred 10

Oh yeah that's right, same score as the Ithaca game

superman57

as much as I wish that the score would be 34-10  I say 21-17 fisher  Too much on the line here, but I still don't think Alfred gets in if they win, if they didn't get in last year whats to say that they can this year

Booby,

Your remarks are quite valid and it is unfortunate that we have to go to the game with the players we have.  Brady aside, an underclassman (I don't want to mention names) did not return as a linebacker.  I really believe he would have made a difference in our loss to Spf'ld.  Also two top notch running backs are not on the roster, one being Julio.

Regardless it is what it is.  The only question mark I see in your schedule, as you seem to want to discount Spf'ld's offense, is the Brockport game.  I recall seeing old posts that they always play you toughso, OK.

Per the Springfield matchups the Alfred team apparently did do a better job of adjusting.  The game came down to AU fumbling inside SC's 5 yd line.

Ok that's enough badmouthing the Fisher coaching staff!!!...........

ha

Yeah no doubt Alfred played Springfield better and was able to adjust.  But in terms of that Brockport game, yes we have played close the past few years and they also came back furiously at the end to make the score what it was.  Other than that we have been pretty solid.

Throwin that Ithaca game in their face won't win a lot of Karma points after today... And probably shouldn't predicting any sort of blowout vs. AU

boobyhasgameyo

I wasn't throwing anything in Ithaca's face, I think the Ithaca posters know that.

Plus given the history of the close games recently vs. Alfred I probably shouldn't predict a blowout, but it's too late to go back now.

Just got in from a long road trip to Houston... Thanks for keeping the boards updated throughout the day, although it was a ton to read!

AU - Kudos, certainly a tip of the cap to you guys.

IC - Sorry fellas, had you taking that game. Unfortunately probably won't get in now... Still a top team in my mind.

Cortland - Anyone still going to tell me the QB spot hasn't lost "too much" since Smith went down?

Hobart - A predictable ending.

Hey I'm completely in favor of that score ... I'm afraid it'll be a tight ballgame though.
