booby,

I guess we are in some sort of agreement as to the abilities of our teams.  As far as the prediction I don't like to get into that hornet's nest.

Saxon73,

I agree the prediction game is a messy one.  I won't defend my prediction to death because I honestly don't think that will be the outcome, but we still have a week left until the game so I had to start the conversation somehow.

Checking out for the night, goodnight everybody.  Gave +k to as many night posters as I could because I am feeling generous

Just got in from a long road trip to Houston... Thanks for keeping the boards updated throughout the day, although it was a ton to read!

AU - Kudos, certainly a tip of the cap to you guys.

IC - Sorry fellas, had you taking that game. Unfortunately probably won't get in now... Still a top team in my mind.

Cortland - Anyone still going to tell me the QB spot hasn't lost "too much" since Smith went down?

Hobart - A predictable ending.

As for Cortland...they were playing with their 4th string QB a lot of the important moments of the game... The 2nd and 3rd string both got injured...So Miles might have been able to win them the game...

Ok portgrad I'll give that to you I suppose. Miles still threw a costly pic giving Rowan the tying score. (I believe)

I didn't notice any in the press relelease.  Couldn't listen to the game via air Coleman.

as much as I wish that the score would be 34-10  I say 21-17 fisher  Too much on the line here, but I still don't think Alfred gets in if they win, if they didn't get in last year whats to say that they can this year

The big difference that I can see between this year and last is that Alfred's non-conference loss was to W&L which is not the same as a loss to Hobart.  Granted that the Saxons still have to prove it on the field on again this Saterday, but I'd be even more heartbroken if history repeated itself this year.  If a two loss Alfred were to make the short list of pool C candidates I would hope that the committee would right the wrong of a year ago.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

First off, way to win with class NewSchool. If I were PepBand/Kazoo/Saxon73, I'd be all over you for making all Alfred fans look like fools. I would say "act like you've been there before," but then I have to remind myself you haven't been there before. I suppose I can't be too upset with some hack who waits until after his team has won before he starts taking potshots at his opponent. Enjoy the next 52 weeks, kid, because you have no chance to win at Butterfield next year. Just stating facts.

Second, in response to "where all the Ithaca fans went," I'm not sure you realize this living in that hellhole of a town, but it's Saturday night and a lot of us have social lives. So, as I set off for a great dinner down in the French Quarter followed by copious amounts of drinking, I can assure you that IC's loss today will cross my mind exactly zero times this evening while you revel in it all night (all the while, you're sitting on the couch). Idiot.

with Hobart losing  UofR now takes a step ahead of Alfred in two loss teams,  and they become a threat if they beat hobart.  Jeez this could be a really long week

and now a joke

Knock Knock

Who's there

No Chance

No Chance who

Ithaca has no chance at the playoffs thats who

I'll be saving that quote for seven days from now. Strong words for a fan of a team who pissed away their playoff chances last year on their home field to a team they were better than.

Pep Kazoo and Saxon 73 don't know this guy.....

Any program that has a history like IC knows how to win and lose.....hats off to the Saxons...I feel badly that after a win like this.....some  "fans" make themselves look so new to winning.....

Maybe not just the coach and players have to develop in a winning program.....

Congrats again AU....

Bizarre showing from the Alfred folks tonight.  Ithaca fans were nothing but gracious on here.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

I would say that the regular Alfred Posters were pretty good, but those that come out of the woodwork.... geeeeeeeeeeesh!
