Wilkes has a rivalry game next week. If they lose that, who knows, I suppose it's possible Wesley might be pulled over. But it seems unlikely. The NCAA has yet to do that, even when it's very warranted.

As I suggested on the LL board, there is a doomsday scenario that may force a very weird bracket:

Rochester beats Hobart
Ithaca beats Cortland
Alfred beats SJF

If this happened, we would have Rochester, Ithaca, SJF, Alfred, Hobart and Cortland all with two losses.  In the East, Rowan (NJAC), Union (LL), Springfield (E8), Curry/Coast Guard (NEFC), Wilkes (MAC) would be in. Is it possible that NONE of the six two-loss teams would make the playoffs?  Yes.  Is it probable?  No.  But it will take an interesting decision by the NCAA Committee as to which one, two or three teams to choose.  Yet, I would guarantee that a team or two teams will ship from the North to the East bracket if this doomsday scenario occurred.  What I don't know is whether they would come from a higher or lower part of the respective region(s).

I know at one point it was still possible for U of R to win the LL, is that a mathematical possibility any longer?

And no matter what they decide......somebody's going to complain......OUCH!

Nope, Hobart needed to beat Union and UR needed to beat Bart next week to win the LL....

Ummmm - What part of the broadcast when I said, "The Union College Fighting Dutchmen are your 2006 Liberty League Champions" were you having trouble with?  :-)  Just kidding.  They can't win it.  Union can finish no worse than with one loss in the LL, and Union has beaten both one-loss teams (Rochester and Hobart).  Union can't lose the LL.

Thanks Frank...I wasn't actually listening to the broadcast so unfortunately didn't hear that.  I don't know why I couldn't figure that math out myself....I think it's too late!

To those gracious IC posters, thank you for the quotes.  You have enough balls to win and lose and still post.  Not everyone can do that.  You have to admit that most of the posters on here are IC/SC/SJf fans.  Its nice to see that the IC fans did not shy away at all.

To portgrad: you just sound ridiculous.  Eat your words and take it like a man.  I hope when we win next week we get in to prove you wrong.  Even if we dont get in, we will still prove you wrong.  You were probably good in modified football.  Were you a special teams player?

Ha.

I'll be here next week

Eat my words? What is your problem?  I think you need to grow up and be able to win with some dignity, OK? Thank you.

Not true - I'd say most posters are IC / Fisher / AU fans with some Cortland posters crossing over now and again.

could always go the bartender-with-tourette's-in-boondock-saints route.  "why don't you make like a tree and get the f--- out?"

sorry i couldnt make it to the game, bombers.  was listening on the radio and sounds like it was a solid fight, with au taking advantage of some mistakes.  props to the saxon team for what sounds like a well-won and well-deserved victory.  NO props to cocky alfred posters.

bombers - on to next week.  the prospect of ruining cortland's playoff hopes is almost as exciting as solidifying ours, so i've lost little enthusiasm.
