Does anyone have an idea of what the first round of the playoffs could look like....specifically who SC might wind up playing. I've heard Curry? Thoughts?

Curry will face whoever is #1, and that should be Wilkes.  I am thinking it could be a team like hobart or Cortland that Springfield will face...or possibly an import from another region.

Would SC have a home game most likely if they finish top 3 in the region?
Show me the Scotchman that doesn't love the thistle!
Show me the Englishman that doesn't love the rose!
Show me the true hearted son of old Springfield
who doesn't love the spot ! ! ! where the Massasoit flows!

medlock had a pretty standout game, sounds like?
Medlock played well indeed. Four tackles, one assist, two picks w/returns totaling 68 yards, five pass defense. The DBs stepped up. Rammacher had a great game too... drew an offensive pass interference on a long pass inside the 10. Kenny Johnson had 6 tackles and a pass defense.

Any word recently on Fuentes, pepband?   I don't believe I've heard anything in a while.

Julio is in a highly-specialized Spinal Cord Injury Rehab Center in Atlanta, GA. Will be there probably a few more weeks with goal of being "independently mobile." Assuming here that means he'll have mastered a wheelchair. Has spoken with some Alfred folks on the phone and seems to be in good spirits...more concern for his mother who's with him there than himself. It's my understanding he has use of his arms and "some feeling" in his legs, although to date he is unable to move them. After the rehab in Atlanta, he'll return to the Olean area to continue rehab for another two months. Hopes to be back at AU beginning fall semester 2007.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Curry (10-0) must first beat Coast Guard (8-1) for the New England Conference title. Should Coast Guard win that game, you'd see Coast Guard in the NCAAs as the AQ and Curry, most likely, would be looking at ECACs.

Well it sounds like he's fighting like hell to get well - Hopefully people are keeping in touch with him & staying very upbeat... I think that everyone being nothing but truly positive will help him through this tough time.

Best wishes to him & his family.

Given the grocery list of possibilities, it's fruitless to try to project matchups, IMO, at this time. It may prove as difficult even after Saturday's games!

AU is right - we won't know until the field is set next weekend.

I think Springfield is actually more of a lock than any other team to have a home game...they have NORWICH left, and that's it...if they win, they'll be home.

Thank you, tags, for asking, and for your good wishes. Was a treat to meet a classy Bob Napoloeone at Saturday's game who, like you, extended his best wishes for Julio. His serious injury has certainly brought perspective to D3 football....it's still a game and those warriors who don the armor every Saturday are young men who shed the armor after every game and carry on in life. Many go on to become teachers, inventors, engineers, coaches, and the things they learn in battle mold them into fine young leaders in their places of employment and in their communities. I am confident that Julio will be one of the finest, given the adversity he is overcoming. +K tags

Thanks AU - Obviously these things are far more important than any game. These guys are all just starting out in life & you wouldn't wish something like that on anyone.

... Ok, back to football now  :)

Ok, really checkin out now. It's almost time for the morning shift to punch in...

I have decided that I'm going on a 2 month leave of absence from the board,
as new school AU is now counting my number of posts per day.

Guys......
I know your former OC is one of the most respected coaches in this area.....and U of R is rolling (smart move getting Noah on board as well).....I can't believe the collective "dogging" he gets.....

............doesn't he get some credit along with Coach Greene at U of R?????

He has a tendancy of not showing up in big games or clutch situtations....
