Just thought I would set some Over/Unders for Cortaca

Times "State School" is chanted   1,700

People not wearing shirts 7
Drunk students taken away in handcuffs 6
Bomber  Tuchdowns   5
Drunk students being chased by police dogs 4
Hot Dogs Tecmo eats   3
Port a Potties tipped over 2
Bomber Plane Fly overs 1

Go Bombers

Cortland is a bad apple

busy earlier and almost forgot to go back....

Times "State School" is chanted   1,700 hopefully under - the FDC should bring out a little more creativity in the crowd
People not wearing shirts 7  Over - hopefully the weather holds up....good body paint always adds to the atmosphere
Drunk students taken away in handcuffs 6 Over - I'd say at least double digits...you forget that even open container tix usually get cuffed and brought to a car just to keep the yelling down and friends out of it
Bomber  Tuchdowns   5 Over
Drunk students being chased by police dogs 4 I'll take over again...but can we look into encouraging more of this.  I think both sides will agree that over the years seeing the idiots on the field getting chased by dogs is highly entertaining
Hot Dogs Tecmo eats   3 push
Port a Potties tipped over 2 god - I hope under
Bomber Plane Fly overs 1  under
Sounds more like Circustaca  :)

So you guys feel as Keeley goes AU goes?

That certainly sounded like it was the case Saterday but I would add two caveats.

1) Their defense is pretty good.  Juvan hasn't been great for us this year but, he hasn't really turned the ball over a lot either.  They got two pretty huge picks against him Saterday.  Clearly they aren't as good as they were with Brady last fall but they are still solid.

2) Elmer Newsome is a good back.  He hasn't played as well this season as he has in the past but, he must still be capable of having success.  It's unclear if Keeley's success in the passing game has limited his touches or, some change in his ability has limited his touches.
Also look at the 'Bart game.  Keeley was 18/43, certainly sub par.  And AU only lost by 7 points

Its hard to judge QB's when playing at Hobart err Alfred late in the season, that place  is the windiest err has the most trees around a staduim i've ever played in....

Upstate,

The game was in Alfred.

Man....

There goes my argument....

Well alfred does have alot of trees around the field....

Ever think that the trees may of had something to do with it?

Couldn't really say - haven't been to Merrill for some time.  It's a realll commute.  There are a lot of buuildings on the hill which has also contributed to somewhat of a "bowl" effect.

I will be there Saturday.  Currently in Utica on a stopover of my trek.  Soon to be in Newark/Canandaigua area for a few days.  It's nice having relatives in various areas.

I was totally joking about the trees....

I've played there a couple times while at A-State and once while at SJF....

I loved playing there though....

Although I didn't play football, the field was grass when I was there and I seem to remember it was highly toughted for it's quality at that time.

I did take a Phys Ed elective in football coaching from Coach Yunevich - he was something else!

AUPepBand

The field was incredible. Ceramic tiling underneath provided drainage. Perfectly crowned...not overdone like Brockport where, when standing on the sideline, you could see only waist up of those on opposite side of the field.

May be some bias here, but Grandpa AUPepBand, a.k.a. "The Voice of the Saxons" (he was the public address announcer) was director of buildings and grounds and thus supervised care of Merrill Field, which at that time was used only five to six times a year (four home football games, ROTC drill, commencement).
