Stevens will get AU athletic teams into Metro NY on a regular basis....a plus for the Alfred alumni in NYC area--and maybe help with recruiting. I can motor from Alfred to the GW Bridge in 4.5 hours so long as a Joisey trooper doesn't pull me over.

It sounds like originally they were in a new conference last Dec. It looks like maybe that wasn't a go...so welocome to the E8!

Anyone have any recruiting news?

It is hard to come by in this conference but, I figured some people would know some kids that committed from their towns or whatever.

I'll start, no kids committed to IC from Tallahassee or Tampa. Ha.

Not much here in Phoenix either Q.

Caz Bombers

I did a news google search and here's the 2 players I found:

Matt Boudreau/RB/Worthington, Mass. (Wahconah HS): won Bertelli Award for outstanding play and sportsmanship/academics/citizenship stuff.  Led his team to 30-3 record past 3 years; 2 appearances in Western Mass. Super Bowl.  Also considering Springfield.

Mike Jarmak/LB/Utica, N.Y. (Notre Dame HS): All-League selection at linebacker and standout on basketball team as well.  Also looking at I-AA non-scholarship Sacred Heart.

Anybody familiar with these guys? Both sound like they'd make good Bombers....we've certainly had success with at least one linebacker from Utica recently, that's for darn sure.

Reno Hightower

Ithaca has a very good QB coming in from Niskayuna, NY. Doesnt matter though, the E8 is still the minor leagues compared to the LL!

TASTE IT!

AU's Brenton Brady has dropped about 20 lbs. and has been invited to a tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers early next month at Cornell. Word has it he'd like to try out for DB. Go, Brenton! (Brady was 1-for-2 from half court during Late Nite McLane...not bad for a football player.)

Too early to start campaigning for Pat to attend Fisher/Ithaca in Pittsford this fall? The best was when he shut our board down because he thought things were getting too heated. Then he writes the preview for the game saying "there's no way this one will live up to the hype each team's fans are giving it."

Outcome: Ithaca wins in OT on an pick-six. C'mon, Pat, we want to see you in the Roc!
A 2004 graduate of the "almighty legendary" Ithaca College. Goooooo Bombers.

Fisher should just stay in their dorms this year.

Bombers- 66

Fisher-2

(Juvan takes a sympathy safety to end the game).
