It might not be any of those teams and a team with two losses might have had their bubbles burst, but if it came down to it maybe Hobart?

Annnyways just got back from Alfred, that was a fun game to watch.  Hopefully the two Alfred players that were injured are doing better.

Fisher's defense again stumbled out of the gates a bit but really locked down for the rest of the game.  They were mixing up looks, hitting extremely hard (many of the shots could be heard throughout the entire field), and just did a really good job.  Alfred played well although they did shoot themselves in the foot a couple of times by dropping passes that ended offensive drives.

Fisher didn't look as healthy as everybody was reporting, although Stepnick and Piz returned which was good, Norton sat out and Kramer looked like he was wobbling around the field.

Can't wait until tomorrow to see how the seedings shake out, and hats off to most of the Alfred fans at the game because they were pretty gracious about the whole situation.

Also where is that one dude that was talking all that crap last Saturday, the one who said for Ithaca to kiss his as$? I have been eagerly awaiting his return all week, to see what he would say after Alfred was reportedly going to beat Fisher no question about it.  Whhheeerrre arrrre yoouuuu? lol

Pat Coleman

Hobart could be in trouble, yes.

Pat or anyone else on a scale of 1-10 how big of a screw job would it be if Fisher did not get a Pool C

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I'm not sure if he's in the business of rating Screw Jobs but I'd give that one a 9.

Pat Coleman

There are nine one-loss teams and seven Pool C slots. I don't think the screw rating would be so large. Two someones have to stay home.

Mannn Pat that answer doesn't make me feel too hot.  A few weeks ago I believe you said if Fisher won out that would be the closest thing to a lock that there can be, and now this.  It would be a shame for them not to make it.

One question however, is one of those one loss teams competing for a pool C Coast Guard?  Maybe they have more than one loss i'm not sure, but if they are on that list it would make me feel a little bit better.

Well all questions will be answered tomorrow, good luck to all teams.

boobyhasgameyo

Crap they aren't, they lost two games.

Pat Coleman

Coast Guard has two losses, sorry. No bottom-feeders on this list.

In no particular order: Wheaton, Capital, Cortland, Hobart, Franklin, UW-La Crosse, Fisher, St. John's, Hardin-Simmons

In my opinion, Fisher would be ahead of both the other Pool C candidates in the East, but My opinion is not on the selection committee lol/

so I decided to put all 9 one loss teams together and see who they lost too and that teams record so here it goes

Wheaton(18) L-Augustana (7-3),
Capital(5) L-Mount Union (10-0),
Cortland(15) L-Rowan (6-2),
Hobart(22) L-Union(7-2)
, Franklin(NR) L Mt St. Joseph (9-1),
UW-La Crosse(8) L-UW Whitewater(10-0),
Fisher(17) L-Springfield (9-1),
St. John's(3) L-Bethel (9-1),
Hardin-Simmons(7) L-Mary Hardin(8-2)

With this I would hve to say that Hobart and Franklin might be the last teams out, but I think Wheaton needs to worry too

Interesting scenarios now in the east....

My projection...

1) Wilkes vs 8.) Curry

4) Rowan vs 5) Union

2) Springfield vs 7) Cortland

3) St. John Fisher vs 6) Dickinson

Back from the game & will be catching up on the reading...

Nice win for Fisher. 8)

I don't know sh*t about Dickinson, but those two middle games would be hot games. I'd actually have to be rooting for ESPN diva Chris Sharpe as well as the U!

If SJF and Cortland play each other... I don't know what I'll do. I think I might put my head under a pillow for three hours and try to forget that a game is happening.

kudos Kaz it was a good game, but whether or not he was out on that play should not matter having first and goal on the 4 should be a TD

He wasn't even close to being out, it was an inadvertent whistle is what they told the AU coaches.  Very dissapointing, but I doubt it would have been a game changer.  Fisher came to play and executed to perfection.  They are solid all around.  I just wish that I had more faith in the referee crews than I do after these past three games.  No sour grapes, the results are what they are, but neither team's fans wants to worry about bad calls when there is so much else on the line.  Hopefully Alfred gets a home ECAC bid so I can save on gas money!

Was at the game & nothing would be labeled a "bad call" so much that it would even have a remote chance of being a "game changer"... AU got pounded.
