Back like MJ & seeking formal apologies from Frank & RT.

To save time you can send in together.

OK that's enough rubbing it in, you can stop now before you appear like a sore winner. You got the win, now move on to next week.

Seriously Tags....you are a bit of a front runner...RT never heard of you until this year. Where  ya been all my life? Anyway, congrats on a good season and enjoy losing to SC. Wait....that's right, your defense shuts down EVERYBODY according to Mark Robinson so Springfield shouldn't be a problem again for you since they weren't last time either. Seriously...lets move on to hearing how confident you are you'll get past SC. Obviously Union sucked today...I would've liked to see them win to help my conference but I went to RPI so I don't think I owe you any apologies. We won in the NIT today so i'm pleased with that consolation prize. Looking forward to 2007. What else would you like me to say? Yes..you get to play one more week....then we can both be twiddling our thumbs next Sun when both are teams are done for the year.

So you are positive Fisher is going to lose next week? They have beaten Springfield two out of the three times they have played each other, and I am telling you guys the defense wasn't playing 100% that day and that tends to happen when your best defensive lineman your starting safety and your all conference corner back are out due to injuries.  They are all back now and they have seen what Springfield can do and I think if one of the two teams can adjust it will be Fisher, their defense has the capability to lockdown on Springfield, can Springfield's defense lock down Fishers? Not as likely but still possible yes....

Also about that thing Robinson said in the paper about defense shutting down everybody, ok fine Springfield beat us down but noooobooddy else has lit the defense up so they have been shutting teams down left right and center.  Union may have finished with 21 points today but it was 42-3 at the end of the 3rd quarter when they pulled most of the starters....Wasn't Union's offense supposed to be unstoppable? Weren't they supposed to hang at least 35 on Fisher?

SJF will lose to SC

boobyhasgameyo

Ok and if that doesn't happen what will your stupid excuse be then?  People just saying a team will win like that pisses me off.  Alfred posters were saying that a couple weeks ago, Union fans said it last week and now we have an RPI poster saying SC Will defeat Fisher.  Way to speak in absolutes

Another thing about that Fisher SC game (and please SC I'm not saying you didn't earn that win because with the players that were out there on that day you guys played better) but they unexplicably fumbled the ball 7 times.... They weren't forced fumbles they were fumbled snaps that SC capitalized on for touchdowns.  So are you going to guarantee that is going to happen this time as well RT? Please tell me that you will...

It's not that bad.  At least we won't hear Frank Rossi, Equine anymore. Although he was better in his broadcast than his posts :)

I say it should be "go easy on the LL" day. They'll be testy for a while b/c they all got it handed to them.

RT doesn't really know what to say at this point about Fisher. He's just hoping that one of these concrete insightful predictions comes true.

Here's something to ponder since I'll be down watching the Michigan game...

"F Mark Robinson" ... "Ur trash talking RB won't get the job done"

#1 - 11 carries 10 yds

#25 - 20 carries 98 yds 4 (four) Touchdowns.

I'll talk about the defense later

I agree with you Tags about Redtackle.  He's just mad cause Fisher spanked Union and made them look pathetically bad.  Also, I don't think the Fisher v. SC game will be quite the same this time around...Fisher is 100% healthy and im sure they will shore up the problems they had against Sharpe last time.  Thats what teams do they adjust.  Good luck to everybody still playing, this season has been truly exciting to follow.  Go Fisher!!

I'm not a fan of starting out the 900th page with trash talking about a defeated team but it's too late to change that now....

Is there any non biased posters here (i.e. Ithaca fans) that can give predictions as to what they think will go down next weekend in Springfield?

I'm unbiased but I'm just not going to make anymore picks lol.

I've got nothing negative to say about Frank on a personal level - He just spoke as if it were a lock that Union would beat up on Fisher. I hope he has changed his tune now.

On another note, I do wish him well in retirement. I understand it was his last game broadcasting when the Union season is done - so best of luck. His loyalty & dedication to the school is admirable.

Also - for those who are hung up on me saying punching out & commenting a few more times...

Tough Sh*t. It's a sports board & it's supposed to be fun... So if I feel like commenting on something that I saw after I said see ya, I will do that.

Booby,

My non-biased opinion about next weekend:

Fisher is playing extremely well right now and so is Springfield.  The game is @ SC but that shouldn't be a huge deal for Fisher (they play well on artificial turf).  If Fisher can control the ball and clock with Robinson, it will be tough for SC to win I think.  Fisher defense looks good right now and they will be much better this time around since they are 100% on defense.  SC must do the same if they hope to win.  They must eat the clock and keep the ball out of the hands of the Fisher offense.  My prediction is that Fisher will find a way to keep sharp under 150 yds rushing and that should be enough for them to win this one.

Final from Merrill Field:
Alfred 40, Rochester 34 (OT)

AU rallies from 16 point deficit. Down 34-26 with less than 2 minutes remaining, AU puts together a long drive, scoring TD with 8 seconds remaining in the game, then Keeley goes around right end for 2-pt conversion to make it 34-34.

In OT, UR goes nowhere in three plays and field goal attempt is wide right.

In OT, Keeley hands off to frosh tailback Vinson Hendrix who goes 25 yards for the TD and gives AU the ECAC Northwest Championship!

Congrats on a great win for the Saxons.

And the E8 rolls on 8)
