Any word on the Tasker kid....will he be a Bomber or a walk-on at ND?
And what about the IC offensive coordinator....any word on that yet? The IC offense has plenty of weapons but will a new O-coordinator disrupt the Bombers' rhythm? I know that a coaching change at AU a couple years ago made a vast improvement in the offensive unit morale--and production--in 2004 and 2005. But the Saxons still struggle scoring on that Bomber D.

The only thing it will disrupt is my usual Sunday practice of trying to get my voice back due as a result of screaming at the press box or, in the alternative, at the internet radio. I have never been a fan of Angelicho.

At least you didnt have to put up with SJF's play calling....

The Bombers benefited from it several times....

USA Today Sports Weekly's college football preview is on newsstands now...

Bridgewater is ranked No. 13.

Check out their top 25.

Interesting....USA Today Sports Weekly's Top 25 snubbed the Empire 8 altogether. IC #15 in two other polls but not in the Top 25 for USA Today? Looks like USA Today pollsters have some Liberty League grads among them...Union, Hobart AND RPI in Top 25?

I was told by a member of the administration on Alumni weekend that is involved in the fund raising for the new A&E center that Football would NOT be moving, and instead would be getting more of Cerrache.

That does make sense considering the football and baseball teams are going to be the only teams staying at their current home.

Does anyone know if there's going to be a QB competition this year? I know we're excited to see Juvan, but there's also that kid from Nisky and Ashkar who was the backup last year. A kid I know that graduated last year said Ashkar will do a good job if he's the starter. We've all but handed it to Juvan but is there any possibility that it may be someone else?

Keith McMillan and Pat Coleman put the Top 25 ranking together. Neither one is a Liberty League grad.

Well Id say theres a good chance that one LL team goes 9-0 then another one goes 8-1 then another one goes 7-2 with the winner of the conference going to the second round with an easy win over some NEFC team putting them in the top 25 in the end of the year, while second place team plays an E-8 team in the playoffs and also finishing in the top 25.

I also know that Pat C. and the rest of the d3football.com staff probably know 1000 times as much about d3football teams than the other poll people do.

And how much more of ceracche can you get?   Are those art classes still in that basement?  That could be a nice locker room I would think.

Jonny Utah

and you can smite me all you want buddy, I probably wont be in the negatives untill 2008.  (Maybe the year when SJF wins a playoff game)

Pat, you are referring to yourself in the 3rd person now?

Further evidence that he's in the LL's hip pocket. I'm kidding, Pat. I'll take the #15 ranking, though I don't necessarily think it's warranted given who they lost and that they are on the road for each of their four most difficult games (Alfred, Fisher, B'port, C-State). That's rare that you'll hear anything remotely objective coming from my mouth as I speak about Ithaca.

By the way, Pat, are you still on the East Coast? If so, can I resume badgering you about going to the Fisher/IC game on Sept 23rd? I bet you'd like to eat a nice garbage plate at Tahou's, too.

That should be a good game Pat, then you can make your second consecutive Shoes game on Nov 11th - This time in lovely Troy, NY.

Haven't had a garbage plate since my recruiting trip to UR. Delicious.

Pat Coleman

I am still on the East Coast, though it could change.

I won't likely go to the Shoes game this year. Would be some other game's turn. Haven't done Monon Bell or Amherst/Williams yet.
